Lovely warm sunny day today can't believe its Oct. its better than we had in July. Had Mum for a few hours, went down to the river Tay for a short walk. OH made 2 trips to the recycle centre with more bits that he doesn't want to go back in his shed. I managed
to get the Christmas cards I made packed up and priced ready for the local shop.  Hoping to get away in the van come Tuesday morning, so tomorrow it will be packing the van once OH comes back from his Audiology appointment. Still not sure where we are going
but could be either Northumberland or Cumbria Undecided

Ok, I admit I am teasing! HappyNo, we didn't buy a new MH, but we did fetch home a brochure, to have a good browse through and do a good
bit more thinking. It will be a while before we change our current MH, as it is a good size and layout for us. We are likely to be spending a big bit of money when we do come to swop, and our circumstances may have changed, so perhaps something a touch larger
for much longer periods away will suit us better, plus I/we want another dog at some point as well!  It is a bit of a minefield, and there is such a huge variety of layouts, differing quality etc.....

We are impressed by a couple of makes now, both very different, but a good few more yet to have a root around, and yet to have a look at some of the premium makes. (You have to dream a little as well!) Not sure at this stage how much we will have to invest
    in something either!

Just doing the 14th delivery. Another KFC order. Broadwater KFC ran out of sweet corn so we have had to do a detour to the town centre KFC.

The last clock to alter? The one in the car, so switched the ignition on and yes I have to change it. Got the manual out scrolled through the on line version .....went through the paper one switched the car back to the start guess what the car had done it
    by itself!

Had a similar problem with our new one. Took about 5 mions to figure out that all I needed to do was to change the clock setting to automatic from BST, and job sorted!Laughing

Finer day today, and canfeel the effect of the sun and breeze on my face as I sit here at the computer. Drove over to opposite coastline from yesterday and had a couple of decent walks along the shore. The second one was from the entrance of the CC's New
England Bay site, as we wanted a look at it. Very quiet with only about 20 vans on it, not a great percentage as site has 155 pitches.

Malcolm, if you go to the Club Products section, there is someone who you could   advise regarding caravan insurance.

Write your comments here...It was my wife they saw me with. She's a lot younger than me so she is sometimes mistaken to be my daughter!

Write your comments here...I couldn't do any more updates, Ian. It got so busy that there was no time to do anymore posting last night.. However, on the last delivery, Brio were annoyed with us for accepting a customer order so late at night when they had already closed. They locked us out and we had to get the boss to phone them to let us collect the customer order. When they did let us in we got a right telling off. They said in future make sure the orders are given to them earlier.

Write your comments here...Thanks KjellNN. I hadn't seen that one. I've found it and posted my comment on there. We have the normal 5Cs Caravan Club insurance for our caravan and business insurance for the car because it is the car that is used for business
purposes, i.e. delivery of fast food to customers and not the caravan.

I went to the bank this morning to bank the weekends earnings. I arrived there too early so had to wait 15 minutes for the opening time of 9.30. In the meantime I sent the booking for Charmill Cottage campsite for 11th November. Got a reply to say Ok.  Now
back at the caravan with lunch cooking.

We're getting prepared for our move to Littlehampton Club site day after tomorrow. We're taking that day off from work to give us time to take down the awning and pack it away. Then we can arrive at Littlehampton Club site at the appropriate time in the afternoon without getting a delivery call out whilst we are getting pitched. Then the evening to relax before getting back to work the next day. My State pension payment is due to be received that day too to provide additional ancillary relief! So time off can now take precedence over work! My dream of increased leisure time is now slowly but finally becoming fulfilled.

Not a bad day here, but a little cloudy off and on.

Renewed our TV licence today, had to ring them as I will be 75 within the next 12 months.  Was pleasantly surprised to hear that I only pay for the months up to the month of my birthday, and then I will automatically be sent a free licence after that.

Going to meet up with some fellow wood turners at our clubhouse this afternoon, exchange ideas etc.

Yesterday we went to look at a 2 bed flat with DD, she is thinking of investing in property and wanted me to look at the state of the kitchen etc.  Seemed to be in reasonable condition, so she has made an offer.  There were however a few people interested,
so she may well be outbid.

It does need a little work before it could be rented out......so that would be more stuff to keep me busy!!

Packing the van up ready to away tomorrow, looking like we will go down the East coast to start with, really annoying that most of the sites we wanted to go to are closing on 7th Nov. and some of the sites we wanted to use are full at the weekends but ok
during the week, will need to do a bit of giggling.

Washing machine is on getting rid of any bits before we go. Must deliver the Christmas cards I made for the shop next. The tidy up, give my hair a trim and think about dinner/tea, not sure what that will be either, gosh I'm terribly disorganised lately Laughing

Hi Kjell, I love wood turned items. Do you do the lovely earring holders, bit like an upturned mushroom with holes around the edge? Seem to be rather rare, but make a lovely ladies gift. I was bought one from a craft centre at Chagford. Lovely work, and
very useful as well as being ornamental.Happy

Yes, I have made several of those in various sizes/styles, I can make pretty much anything anyone asks  for.  Have had a few commissions for lamp stands, pestles and mortars, quaichs, candle sticks, tea light holders and bowls.

DD was outbid on that flat, apparently it went for several thousand more than she offered.

Still unbelievably warm and sunny down here in Cornwall today. We went across to Charlestown ( apparently the scene of filming for some TV series about a bloke who can't keep his shirt on and is regularly under threat of being chucked into the clink) and
walk along the coastal path past Carlton Bay and onto Par Sands and back. Tee shirt and shorts weather and if hadn't been for Mrs M tut-tutting I might even have dispensed with the tee shirt!

One of the tall ships in Charlestown harbour and been used as the launch of Cornwall's poppy appeal last week   and was suitably dressed up for the occasion. I've actually got a pretty good photo of it, but,
this being CT, you'll just have to use your imagination!
