I bought (many years ago) a small table top ironing board from Ikea (they still do them) I think I paid something like £5 for it. It has a hanging hook on it and lives in the wardrobe of the van.

TG, that's exactly the same as us. Take up virtually no space at all. Ironing also helps to dry off the odd item that's still a little damp, too.

Went to Crantock this morning and walked down to the beach, think this is my favourite so far this trip. Smile Walked back via the coastal path.
Had lunch back at the van, then took the awning down as the sun was shining, packed away nice and dry. Did another of the circular walks from the site this afternoon. Now back at the van wishing that we hadn't got to go home tomorrow.  SadSad It's
been a great trip, think I've fallen "in love" with this part of Cornwall.  Laughing

Glad that you've had a good time down in Cornwall. Hope the drive home is not too traumatic. At least you'll get an extra hour in bed tonight to set you up for the journey.Laughing

and makes it easier to iron too. Saw one of the ironing boards when we were in Ikea in Glasgow the other day, great little things, perfect for vans. Smile

Why not use the caravan table with a towel laid over it for ironing in the van?

The table in our van is just a little low, and the ironing board makes it more comfortable for SWMBO.

Drove over to Portpatrick today. A couple of walks along the coastal paths, including the start of the Southern Upland Way. Doubt that I'll be doing the whole 212mls though. Wink Weather
a bit mixed after a heavy rain through last night, but dry for most of the day, fortunately.

Nice and sunny this afternoon so all washing dried, ironed and away before dinner this evening.

    Ironing?

Haven't done any of that since we retired.

O.K. We're a couple of scruffs, but life's too short.....

We're having our first cup of tea at the moment. Nice to have the extra hour of daylight in the morning but unfortunately, it also means that I'll be driving in the dark from 5 p.m. onwards tonight. I'm not looking forward to six hours of night driving tonight
at work! Five hours was bad enough!

to the public.  Only 2 ways to get to it, boat or shanks ponyLaughing

Write your comments here...Ah yes Mozart my favourite composer. I'm introducing my grandson to his music as well, he's getting into it now, likes the horn concertos. Years ago I had an LP with Benny Goodman playing the clarinet concerto and the clarinet
    quintet. Interesting!

We're having roast chicken for our Sunday lunch. We just put the chicken with sage and onion stuffing in the oven and cut up the potatoes and carrots for roasting too. We brushed some olive oil over the chicken and vegetables and put some dried oregano on top,  all covered with kitchen foil to stop it splashing in the oven and to keep the juices in. Later, we'll be making some bread sauce and chicken gravy. Has that whet your appetite?

The whole lot should take 1 hour and 45 minutes to cook in our new electric oven on 190 degrees celsius. However, the timer only works a maximum of one hour. So after it tings, we'll need to set the timer for another 45 minutes. So lunch will be ready by 10:30 this morning which will give us enough time to eat and relax afterwards before starting work at 12 noon.

Write your comments here...I don't expect a perfect day, especially as work starts at 12 but I am looking forward to a perfect Sunday roast lunch. I can smell it cooking in the oven!

We got the chicken at a reduced price from the town centre Tesco. A medium sized chicken for £3. It was reduced from £3.50!

We are off to look around one of our local caravan and MH dealers! Quite why, we are not sure, but bound to lead to some discussion! Last time we did this, we came home and thought how lucky we were to have our current MH. Just mooching really, looking at
different layouts, build quality, value for money!

Write your comments here...You should have a look at the new 8ft. wide ones, TTDA. I was fascinated by the extra space when I saw them at the NEC show. Bigger washrooms, more space to get past the transverse bed and a much more spacious lounge and kitchen
    area.

Our roast dinner will be ready in 20 minutes. From now onwards there will be nothing to stop us from having that traditional Sunday roast dinner every Sunday! We've tried roast lamb, now roast chicken and we've still to try roast pork with apple sauce and roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and horseradish sauce. Delicious!

Just having breakfast, slow start to the day, appears to have been very foggy.

Like BB have to go shopping for food, really badly organised in the house lately for some reason. But who cares feeling laid back really nice change as we seem to have been really busy for weeks on end. Might persuade hubby to go out for lunch he's in charge
of shopping . However still need to do a food shop so may just bite the bullet. Enjoy your Sunday folks

Up bright and early this morning - the dogs didn't appreciate having the chance of an extra hour in bed. So up to the dunes first thing where there seemed to be an amazing number of other dog owners in the same boat!

Had a big shed clear out yesterday so took the opportunity of dumping a load of unwanted stuff over at Newquay recycling. Quick coffee just now, then cut the grass (last time this year I hope) and then back to Newquay after lunch for a walk around Pentire
Head and along Fistral beach. It really is unseasonably warm - may have to get back into shorts (but not if Mrs M has anything to do with it! Wink)
