I've just got up, made a pot of tea and drinking my first cup. It's still dark outside!
There weren't anymore deliveries to do last night so we got to completing the cooking of our roast lamb which was ready to be served by 22:30 accompanied by a glass of red wine. It was delicious!
There's plenty left over for today's lunch as well!

Catching up on CT, as CC wifi keeps dropping out,
Tammygirl, really pleased your Mum enjoyed her birthday.
Cloudy start yesterday, but sunny and really warm in the afternoon, Perranporth beach was very busy. Found some delicious ice cream, the shop even sold special ice cream for the dog, chicken flavour!

Well done Husky,

We've just finished breakfast. It looks foggy outside our caravan window this morning. It's like Keats wrote in his Ode to Autumn "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness."

, " A Husky Dog last seen in Kent wandering about trying to get a fix on a satalight ,driven by a backpack solar panel"
!!Only approach this animal if you have a 'bonio' to calm him down !!.

We've now decided to have fish for lunch and save the leftover lamb for tonight's meal. We can get a bottle of Australian red wine from Tesco for £3.75 to go with it. I'll have finished my delivery driving for the day by then.

OH had her purse stolen a couple of days ago. It's taken till now to chase round the banks, police, DVLA, Council for bus pass and sort out various store loyalty cards and change the lock on the front door as there was a house key in there as well.

BP. How long does it take to sort out new software? At the current rate Heathrow will get its new runway first.

Write your comments here...Maybe it's better if they just stick with this one, CY. The new one could be worse! Better the devil you know, as the saying goes!

Preparing for lunch at the moment. We eat at 11 a.m. The good news is that the sun is coming out after that foggy start to this morning. There's still a lot of mist but it's gradually clearing.
I like sunny days because it sometimes means less work. People like to go out when the sun shines rather than stay in and wait for a delivery. It can also warm up quite nicely in the awning even at this time of year. So double benefit! I get to enjoy the peace and quiet of the club site and have the lovely weather to enjoy too.
I wouldn't be saying that but for the comfortable financial cushioning of my state pension! I just wish it was enough to give up work altogether!

Sorry about your OH's theft. I think you could read that two ways . Hope the trauma isn't too great. Sadly the inconvenience is annoying and time consuming to say the least. Keep calm and carry on don't want raised blood pressure too!

At last the fog has completely cleared and there's blue sky and sunshine. The trees are certainly looking very colourful here on Northbrook Farm in the sunshine!
We're running out of Aquakem and Aqua rinse which means a walk over to see the warden at reception to buy some more today.

Malc, try and be more frugal, there are alternatives to use and although Warden sales are very welcome when caught out it is understandably expensive, so plan ahead and get things cheaper. You can't work forever

So sorry to hear about that CY, It is so inconvenient to have to sort all that out isn't it? I hope that your wife didn't lose much money as I would hate some 'deadbeat' to benefit from it too much! Let it be a lesson to us
all to keep vigilant, there are some terrible people about!,

It was in a charity shop which, like most of them, are congested and with a clientele who perhaps are not as alert to the dangers and often carry larger sums of cash than the general population. So, when looking for your bargains, keep your wits about you.

We were on a campsite on the Dordogne 2 years ago and after watching Boules on our last night we returned to the caravan. Next day after travelling about 150 miles we stopped at services and my wifes purse was missing, searched high and low and eventually concluded she had left it on the wall while watching the Boules.
Purse had all her cards in plus about 250 euro, we rang the site and it had been handed in. We found a site nearby to pitch the caravan and went back that 150 miles and got it back with everything in it, the guy who handed it in was a local who worked there, she gave him 20 euro for his honesty.
Very lucky indeed, and if like CY then it would have been a right mess trying to sort out.

You have my sympathy with that event. On the first night of a house move we were burgled whilst asleep. I had put all the new keys, both car keys, every type of card etc etc in my bag, left it downstairs and of course it went! Took several days to get new keys, new locks, banks cancelled, bit of a nightmare!

Bit of boring day today just housework, washing, dusting, hoovering, cleaning boring. OH out in his shed again he's fitted the electrics now onto to the work bench.
Weather a bit of a mixed bag again sun, cloud and breezy but still quite mild.
Hoping to get away early next week if we can get the jobs done first, so that's me for awhile must get on and get some more work done.

Drove down to Cornwall through patchy fog this morning, but not a bad journey overall. Usual routine on our first day - breakfast at the garden centre just round the corner, unpack the car then take the dogs up for a run on the dunes. Just finished lunch
and .... shopping to "look forward to" now!0 -
Just done our first delivery of the day, a Macdonalds order. No more orders have come through. Parked near the pharmacist at the moment so that my wife can collect her medicines. Then back to the caravan for a cup of tea.

Write your comments here...The problem is the nearest caravan shop is a long way. So more convenient on site.

We just got back to our caravan and got the kettle on for a cup of tea when lo and behold another Macdonalds order came. So back to the town centre once again and another wait on Liverpool Terrace to collect the next order. No time for that cup of tea! Well at least I have a view of the sea front whilst I'm waiting! The sea looks quite inviting in the sunshine.

Went out to NT Barrington Court for a coffee and cake this morning, plus a good stroll around the gardens and a look through their secondhand books. I buy quite a few for my Mum, she can't remember what she has read but still enjoys them and requests more.
We had forgotten it was a halloween special today so we were surrounded by families and children on a pumpkin search, the den building bit was very popular! Nice to see everyone out and about.0
