Taken my son to Tenbury Wells and back today to pick up an old Woodburner.  Really tired now.  My cough, sore throat and cold is getting wrose - feeling drained.....Frown

Write your comments here...You might need to take some Lemsip and some Vicks Vaporub. It's no cure but can relieve the symptoms. Benylin is good for coughs. The other alternative is Night Nurse.

Another Macdonalds order has just come. It's after six, so parking no longer a problem on Chapel Road.

We're hoping for a gap so that we can do some shopping for tonights meal.

I need to think about making the Christmas cake soon. We are off to N.Ireland next week to see youngest son, DIL and 2 grandchildren (their half term). Will need to start organising Christmas when we get back.

Well I said yesterday "there's always tomorrow" (ie today) and - yay, just back from a winning game of bowls! Good win, too, 18-8.

What will tomorrow bring? 1 more game ( and 1 more sleep) and then a trip down to Cornwall for 10 days. Hope the teams can do without me! Wink

We have a bowls match tomorrow, hoping for a win after last weeks draw. At the end of the season we are hoping to stay where we are, not wanting to go up nor down simply because of the travelling involved.

Just been shopping at the town centre Tesco when another KFC order came, so back to work again.

Anyhow, we've got some holiday booked for early next year, January 9th to 12th at Baltic Wharf Caravan Club site in Bristol.

Why is it that when one watches a Sci-Fi film the hero always fights the monster in almost pitch black darkness with only a rare glimpse of occasional light? Can the film studio not afford a decent monster that will stand up to daylight scrutiny?

PS Just watched such a film!

Beautiful day here in Cornwall,  different totally from yesterday.

Walked from the site to Holywell Bay, lovely walk took us about an hour and a half, taking in the scenery.  Walked along the beach, quite a few families enjoying the sunshine.  Enjoyed some fish and chips for lunch in the pub,  before walking back to the
site. Got some great pictures of a buzzard sitting on a telegraph pole. Just hoping that the sunshine stays for the rest if the week now.

Good day all round by the sound of it H&T. Hope that the weather for the rest of the week is a kind to you.

Damson Gin is the best. It won't cure anything of course, but after a glass or two you won't care.

Another fine start to the day. Drove into Gathouse of Fleet and although Cardoness Castle was closed we walked along the bank of the Fleet to Port MacAdam and then up onto Trusty's Hill to view Pictish Stone. Onto the Mill on the Fleet and, after lunch,
a walk through Cally Woods. Clouded up in the afternoon and wind has now turned to SW, so prospect of rain tomorrow.

We stayed at Molance Farm, just a couple of miles to the east of Castle Douglas.

It looks like you have enquired about it in the past NTHSmile,

Had 4 of the grandchildren for the day today.  Two 6 year olds and two 9 year olds.  They were very good (most of the time!) and had a lovely day.  The cousins like to spend sometime together as they don't get the chance to see much of each other during
term time.  I have just delivered them back to their respective homes - phew.Happy

We have two of our grandchildren aged 6 and 2 (plus mum + Dad) whilst the sale of their new house goes through, wish we only had one day left with them (lol) its hard work at the moment.
