off to meet DD for a pint, car in for service and havent had 'the call' yet, so its out with the trusty steed.....two wheels, not four legs.....Wink

Write your comments here...I always dread car services, the bill can be crippling! I hope it's not too bad for you BB. Enjoy exploring the countryside on your two wheels in the meantime!

Another lovely sunny day here, OH has got the washing machine on again and it is almost too warm in the house.

This morning we measured out and cut the fabric for the first set of curtains for DD, and checked how much of the second fabric she had bought so OH could work out how much curtain tape to buy.

Curtain making is a mystery to me, I just cut where directed, but apparently the first set are one width per curtain, while the second pair have "a width and a half"  Undecided.

I expect OH knows what she is doing, so I am off to my lathe in the garage for a while, keeping out of the way!

I have an order for 2 fancy bathroom light pulls from D-I-L, so better get those made.

Just finished the garden steps. Surrounded in soil, ready for some grass seed in the Spring.

    Phew!

In a brief dry spell yesterday managed an hour on Penhale Dunes, to give the dog a run.

Moulesy you are very lucky to have them on your doorstep when in Cornwall. Smile

It finally stopped raining about 10 o'clock last night, but forecast for today is looking much better, not decided what are plans are today yet. Undecided

Penhale Dunes is a great place to let the dogs have a run with little chance of upsetting non dog owners, particularly in the morning and early evening. It's one of the reasons we chose that area. Did you make it over to the lost church?

Glad the weather's looking up; see you on Friday hopefully! Happy

Walked up past the Celtic Cross, must have missed the lost church, although if we had followed my route back, think we may have been lost! Laughing The
dunes all look the same in drizzly rain.

    Looking forward to Friday.Smile

Light pulls for D-I-L now made, and approved.

Made a smaller trial one as well, so OH has now asked for another 3 to replace the plastic ones on the fans in our bathrooms Surprised .

    Off to the garage again.

Sun gone now, quite dull, looks like it could rain soon.

Beautiful day here in Cornwall,  different totally from yesterday.

Walked from the site to Holywell Bay, lovely walk took us about an hour and a half, taking in the scenery.  Walked along the beach, quite a few families enjoying the sunshine.  Enjoyed some fish and chips for lunch in the pub,  before walking back to the
site. Got some great pictures of a buzzard sitting on a telegraph pole. Just hoping that the sunshine stays for the rest if the week now.

    Sounds brilliant H&T.

Isn't it great to go to places out of the normal 'season'?

Sounds like many of us have had productive days, me included, been putting the garden to bed ready for the winter. Hubby did oneside of the garden beds other side island and bottom beds to do , I've done patio tubs, but haven't had the heart to cut back
fucshias as they are flowering beautifully. Beautiful still day here sun just appearing. Just showered and now have to purchase provisions if we want to eat or require a cuppa!

Hoping to return spare dog to daughter tonight, as our other two are getting quite old he seems very lively! Spent a happy morning with Mr Brue at Screwfix and other DIY establishments, it's good to live life at full tilt! Worried

I'm in the Worthing town centre at the moment, waiting to collect a Macdonalds order. It's very grey and drizzly at times and getting dark already. The street lights have already come on here on Chapel Road.

It'll get worse next week when the clocks go back, especially if the weather is wet. Nothing worse than driving in darkness and rain when visibility is very poor.

Had 4 of the grandchildren for the day today.  Two 6 year olds and two 9 year olds.  They were very good (most of the time!) and had a lovely day.  The cousins like to spend sometime together as they don't get the chance to see much of each other during
term time.  I have just delivered them back to their respective homes - phew.Happy

Had the grandson and daughter's three dogs this afternoon. My assistant and I made another Christmas cake. One of the dogs has been rescued from a puppy farm and has been very timid. However this afternoon she finally came near enough to allow me to give
    her a cuddle.
