It's grey and chilly here too but that suits me. I feel much more energy with this cooler weather. Just been to the bank to pay cash in from the week's earnings.

Another lovely day here, bright sunshine warming the house nicely, time to use some of it to power the washing machine.
Wood turning Club meeting for me this afternoon. OH is picking up her new glasses and going for some other shopping.
Yesterday we visited both of the "children" and dropped into Ikea for lunch and a few odds and ends. Altered curtains were well received by D-I-L and hung up immediately. They are about to start a make-over of their lounge and dining room, a major project involving complete replastering, and are having all new carpets, curtains and sofas, but are getting made-to-measure curtains this time. Thankfully!
Took a look at their newly installed staircase handrail, not that impressed I must say. Does not look particularly professional.
DD is making a long list of jobs for me do tackle in the next few weeks, we have her curtain material here now, so OH will get that started tomorrow, plus we just got a message from her saying one of their toilet seats has broken

We've just finished lunch. We had pumpkin, greens and jacket potatoes with the fish. Healthy eating today! We used our new electric oven to cook the Jacket Potatoes and served with a knob of melted butter. Delicious! It took 60 minutes on 200 celsius. It has a timer that switches the oven off when the food is cooked.
Before we got the electric cooker, we hardly ever had anything cooked in the oven or under the grill. We used to cook everything on the electric hob to save gas. That's all changed now. We'll be able to have proper roast meals from now onwards!

You all sound busy Kj! We're on the countdown for our daughter's move, she hopes to leave her rental tomorrow and move into her new place. OH and her boyfriend are working hard today to sort out more things and daughter is cleaning up the rental. It wasn't
in very good condition when she took it over which is a bit annoying when trying to make it look presentable on leaving! I've got the dog, that's my contribution today.0 -

Hope the move goes well.The sun is coming out now and it looks as though it could be a lovely afternoon. Must get the rest of the jobs done quickly so we can go out.

Nearly completed the first hour at work today. Quiet so far, no orders, so time to get the kettle on for a cup of tea! I'm sitting out in the awning, in the relaxer at the moment. Even though there's no sun, it doesn't feel too cold.

Malcolm.....if you zap the potatoes for about 10-12 minutes (depending on size) in the microwave first, then finish them in the oven or under the grill till the skin is crisp, you will save a lot of time when the rest of what you are cooking does not need
such a long time to cook.Hope you are remembering you only have 16 amps! How much does the new appliance use if you put on the oven and both rings at the same time?

Well, if you apply well in advance it will be done & dusted very quickly, BUT should you leave it until it's almost due it can take forever ,, ,, ,, ,, ,,

taking delivery of yet another load of Bird Food, sorting, mixing & stacking in the "Safe Area" ( safe now 'cos I've re-primed my lethal mouse traps )
Then it was cow-gown { dust coat to the clerical ones amongst us } on and head & arms into the bushes to place & fasten a half dozen of R S P B s Roosting pockets. They should keep the tweets warm & dry when the frosts

I don't think you can use the hob and the oven together with those type of appliances...for obvious reasons...

However, Malcolm, you need to check the rating on the caravan breaker for the socket you are plugging it into, some are only rated at 10 amps.

Yes a friend mentioned she had done it and I found that it could be done online 90 days before the birthday and as I was inside that I went ahead. According to the website I should have received a form by post already but havent.
...Did mine online they used photo from passport ,it was all done and new licence in a week
