Had a lovley Skype with number 2 son and family, they are all settled now in Malta. They have a lovely rented apartment 5 mins walk to the beach, kids have learnt to snorkel already. Its been quite hot and humid this last week so they are feeling it a bit,
kids have just finished their first week at school and Dad his 2nd week at work. Mum is enjoying the peace and rest after all the hardwork of packing and getting thigs sorted out there, looking for a job comes next once they have had delivery of their belongings
from England, due in the next 2 weeks. So now we can sit back and breathe Smile looking forward to when we can go and see them.

Write your comments here...Beautiful place, Maltese people lovely hubby was borne there ,been back to visit relatives many times, love the real Malta ,not the touristy side, hubby's last visit ( funeral) he was dissapointed to see the originality going from
Malta rather quickly since the changes

I've just finished vacuum cleaning the caravan carpets with the new vacuum cleaner which we bought from the show. I started with the lounge, then did the kitchen area and finally the bedroom. All carpets looking lovely and clean now! So much quicker and easier in a caravan compared to a house where you have to do the stairs as well as the downstairs and upstairs!

Off down to the van to take all the bedding out for the winter. I've been meaning to do it for a few weeks but now the grandson needs his sleeping bag for a sleepover tonight so I'll have to do it today.

It's started raining here. Just a slight drizzle at the moment as I type this. It's been very grey and overcast all morning so far. We've finished breakfast. Just a light breakfast of Weetabix with milk but no sugar and a cup of tea.

A quiet day, with nothing out of the ordinary happening. But tonight we're heading over to Sedbergh for a meal at The Three Hares. Very good food, not run of the mill recipes. Locally sourced and worth going to if you're in the area.

A wonderful meal last night from a very interesting menu. Amongst the varied dishes the four of us had were Squirrel Croquettes and Goat Tagine. It's only a small cafe that does eveing meals 3 days a week, so the service is brilliant and personal.

And I tried a new Gin, (Forest Gin), but having looked up the price of a bottle online, I really ought not to buy it. But I'm tempted  . .

New family member arrived in the early hours, another nephew has another daughter. Nice to have good news. On the downside I locked my jaw eating some cereal earlier in the week and now I can only "post" things into my mouth, slowly improving but painful.
Just had a few slices of banana and some soup for lunch, looks like porridge for tea again, rather a weird diet....Wink

    Congratulations  G/Auntie  Brue  !!Laughing

Know  what  you  mean  about  "Weird  Diet"  but  my  diet  is  relaxed  a  little  now  'cos  I  had  my  6-monthly  blood  test  on  Wed,  so  I'm  nolonger  on  the  "Strictest  of  Strict"  until  you  know  when  then  it'll  start  all over  again--
this  of  course  is  a  matter  of  choice  for  me !

Hope  you  enjoy  the  porridge  for  tea,  suitably  flavoured  of  course  !!Wink

    Thankyou ABM!

The jaw situation is possibly divine retribution for helping myself to OH's favourite Lidl Crunchy Pecan and Maple Syrup cereal....Wink

Horrible miserable day today, dull grey and rainy not got the high winds they forecast though. Lights have been on all day its that dark inside. OH a bit better today he's sat at the table going through his laptop giving it a clear out. I'm just having a
break from housework, today I decided to give all the oak furniture a good polish, house now smells wonderful.

Beauitful autumn day here.  Decided to go over to Burghely before it closes for the winter and our HHA membership (a Christmas present last year) runs out.  Had a look round the house and then a lovely walk in the Sculpture Park and grounds.  Gorgeous day
    for it.

Hope your jaw gets better soon brue.  Sounds painful.  Also hope the house and piano move went well.

Hope your weather improves soon TG.

Cheers Millie, can't think that it might any time soon,Frown seems to be the way of it over the last few years. Gone are the nice Autumn days
and freezing cold winters, all we seem to get now is dull, wet miserable weather from early October until the end of December, then with a bit of luck we get a very brief cold spell, nothing like the 3 months we used to get. Think its time to spend Oct. -
Christmas in Spain Cool wasn't sure we would like (when we tried it last year) it but don't like this either. Sorry to moan.

We are going to a wedding reception this evening so are at a B  and B in Troon. Fantastic old house, the bedroom is as big as our lounge/dining room at home, and the en-suite is the size of our main bedroom!

there is an original bathroom suite, Art Deco I think, with a ferocious looking shower.

not a bad day here, lovely sunset.

Heavy rain showers here too! Busy doing deliveries. We have a Kfc order to deliver to Ferring at the moment. It's going to take a while before the food is ready though. There's a long queue. We're at the Goring KFC awaiting collection, so I'm taking this opportunity to catch up with my posts whilst waiting!
