Hope the sun is shining for the visitors to Cornwall, it's not too bad here and still mild.

When we were helping our daughter move home, still ongoing, we retrieved a large box of her brother's things (sounded like lego when we shook it!) Then we noticed she was "looking after" a large painting done by a friend's daughter, I had to smile as I wondered
how many years that would stay with her. Wink

On tenterhooks here - waiting to find out if the caravan we had stolen 3 years ago has turned up or not. Waiting for Police to verify VIN/if it is still visible etc.

Every mark looks the same though in the pictures, keep telling myself it isn't ours - trying not to get my hopes up!

picking up a few provisions shortly as we are going to try Crealy touring tomorrow....the topsham/Exmouth area is a favourite of ours and thought we would try Crealy over our usual CS.

Write your comments here...Let me know how it has improved out of curiousity. I had to leave a customer there years ago when we used to hire motorhomes after another she campsite was booked into refused entry. I think it was basic then, with no EHU or anything,
and charged them £65 per night - though that was peak season.

Good luck with that David.  We still haven't managed it.  We still have 4 boxes of our youngest son's belongings here.  Everytime we go over to N.Ireland and put a few bits in the suitcase!

Trouble is David you can't just take it down to the tip in case they really want it!

I empty the loft/cupboards/garage of their stuff and give them 7 days to retrieve what they want before going to the tip with it. The ceiling upstairs has now lifted up by 1/4 to 1/2 an inch as a result of the loft being emptied.

Oh well - off to play removal man today, I can feel a bad back coming on right now.

Glad we're not the only ones with the same problem!  LaughingLaughing

Decided I don't need a new tow car.

So off to look at a Porsche Carrera 2 (997) Cabriolet this afternoon.

OH now getting over 'man flu' just a cough seems to be the issue today. He's out in his new shed again putting up shelves and working out how/where he is going to but his bench. I'm sorting a few things indoors and making losts of phone calls. Now that I'm almost officially a Pensioner (receipt of pension in Nov.) I've been looking into some of the local fitness and leisure facilities that are available. However it would seem that they do not recognise me as a senior until I am 65 Yell so battle has commenced, if I was receiving a 'Benifit' I would be a 'concession' I explained that the Government classes me as a Senior as I'm 63 and this is the age this year that women become Pensioners. Has anyone else come across this kind of double standards/discrimination. When is a Pensioner not a Pensioner.

We just had one lunchtime delivery to do. Now back at the caravan for a cream tea. The sun's gone in and been replaced by cloud, wind and rain.

We're at present sitting outside the beach cafe pat Portreath having a hot drink.  It would be better if the wind would drop thpugH.   It's a touch cold.

Just been down to the Doctor's for the annual flu jab. I rang up at about 1130 and got an appointment for 2 o'clock how's that for service. I queried the live weekly shingles vaccine. It seems I misheard it's a weak live vaccine. Memo to self " make sure
I wear my hearing aids next time "

Our Doctors surgery is a bit faster than that, throughout Oct and Nov they have walk in flu jabs, no appointment necessary

We're in Gateshead resting before the Divine Comedy gig tonight. It was a wonderful drive over  the A66  - dark skies, shafts of sunlight and emptiness all around. It seemed very elemental . We detoured via Barnard Castle for lunch at The Farmers Teashop
(seemed appropriate). It was bustling and had a lively feel despite being a Monday in mid October.

When I say "resting" I mean my husband is asleep and I using the free (but basic) Wifi.

Taxi booked for later to take us to a pre booked table at the restaurant at The Sage.

A a bottle of something fizzy ready for when we get back.

Who says we don't know how to enjoy ourselves!
