'Interesting' day today. Went to GP surgery for routine blood tests and BP checks. Mr H had an 'episode'. Emergency button pressed, all nurses and emergency GP came running. Paramedics called and we ended up in A&E. After many tests taken to Ambulatory
Care. More tests and then a long chat with very nice, down to earth consultant who decided it was a faint after BP dropped. Now home and back to GP next week. I just have to make sure he doesn't do too much - not easy.Oh dear, must have been bit worrying at the time, at least he was in the right place to get checked out. My OH was seen today by a consultant Re his left arm, his shoulder and elbow has been causing him some bother since the end of June, he has seen the
GP who didn't have any idea what was wrong, so OH went to physio for a couple of months but it didn't improve. Today he was seen privately by a consultant who is a specialist in sports injuries, even he is a bit confused as to what is going on so OH now has
to have MRI scan, so trip to Glasgow for that to come. Hope Mr H is OK when he goes back to GP.0 -
Hope Mr.H OK. My FiL used to have hypertension and feinted quite a few times when out and about. Low BP just as bad as high.
Had dreadful day in full sun looking at spectacular sites, eating really fresh food. If only the local wines were any good. This holiday lark is not all its cracked up to be. Have to give it another couple of weeks to make sure we give it a fair trial.
Sorry, can't keep it up. Having super time. Hope you're enjoying caravan life somewhere.

Spent this morning cleaning the outside of the caravan before taking it in to have the little bits or warranty work done this afternoon.

DSB...Does yours have the tall fridge?there is a problem with quite a few over cooling , when staying at last site we called Dometic out ,and two others on site jumped in and the two engineers ended up sorting three of the same fridge out, it seems that the gas valve is at fault, ours seems fine now since it was changed

..Sorry to hear that Millie,I have been on pills for HBP for 34 years and have been having more tests since my heart rate dropped to that of an "athlete?"and having a couple blackouts when standing,it is worrying for OH ,but we are all in the hands of the Profesionals who ,when they can decide, will come up with a solution

Changed the 'bucket' on the backhoe of the 'Case' digger' for a small one ,so that we could dig smaller holes to install some new signs & concrete them in.Knocked up cocrete & completed the task.( "Natural England" want to allow ramblers to 'tresspass'on
our liesure plots etc .) So we've made our small protest by installing our own signs. We have a 'meeting' with them on site tomorrow .Might get a little 'HEATED'.!! .0 -

the gas valve is at fault, ours seems fine now since it was changedNot had a problem with the tall fridge cooling, JVB, but we only use it on electric - seems fine.

...Its the "faulty "gas valves that cause the problem as it overides the thermostat because on gas the thermostat is inoperative,we only use ours on electric, but what the engineer did say was to use gas for a day now and again to keep it "active" as if you
do not it could "fail" with debris when you need it with a power failure0 -
Today we drove up the coast to Trouville. It was market day and also a fair was in town, so the big car park at the side of the river wasn't available.
We parked near the casino instead and the pay machines were out of order, so we couldn't pay.....shame!
Later we moved over the river to Deauville. What a lovely town.
Then we sat by the marina watching a group of youngsters at the sailing school rigging a few J80's (or trying to - took them the best part of an hour to work out that the mainsail had to be threaded onto the boom before the mast).
Bright, sunny and warm today.

as if you do not it could "fail" with debris when you need it with a power failure"Does this mean that we ought to clean the electrodes of the Piezo ignition from time to time? I never usually use the gas so can anyone tell me hoe to access them to do that?

Thank you everyone. Mr H seems fine today. I managed to make him take it easy until lunchtime and then he decided he wanted to potter in the garden but I wouldnt let him do too much just yet. I will feel happier when he has had another BP check with GP next week.

You could always promote him to a "Supervisory Role" MH !! Give him a writing pad & pencil a chair {of the too heavy to
move variety} and a long pointer to ease the trailing plants out of his sight line.{ Sorry, MH, don't mean to knock } I do hope he's soon back in the rudest of rude !!
I hate the regular visit to surgery, 'cos I go the otherway -- the moment Doc produces BP monitor --Up goes my blood pressure, but if its one of the nurses it's normally a tad low -- I don't know why ?? The nurses are
better looking than he is, thats for sure !0 -

Watching people bringing the Sunsail boats through the lock at Port Solent used to be quite entertaining. Spoilt all the fun now that they leave them on the pontoon outside.
