Tow car developed a problem on Thursday afternoon.  Driving along the parkway and it started an alarming wobble. Apparently it was the calipers. Having payed a fairly hefty bill it is now sorted. It has not been a good week one way and another. Spent today
catching up with jobs in the house and garden. Great weather for gardening. Hope everyone away or going away has a good time.

Sorry about the car problems Millie, have been having a few problems with my little car too, OH thinks he may have found the problem, but he has said that before! Laughing

Went for a walk round a local reservoir in the sunshine today.  Lots of fishermen, think it was a competition, lucky ones at the bottom end seemed to be catching lots of fish,  some  good sized ones too.

Youngest son recommended a couple of Google apps to download, can have video chats on the phone now!

Call back yesterday from Alde engineer to discuss problem, sounds like it could be the main PCB, so going to be expensive.
    Sad

Then went to the York Designer Outlet for a look around and had a good fish and chips for lunch. Found a new pair of shoes for me, and a new handbag which will be DD's Christmas present.

Just made it to Aldi for milk on the way back to the van, this closing at 4pm on a Sunday is strange to us!

Call this morning from Alde man to say he has sourced  a new PCB and will be here around 5pm.  Just hoping it will be an easy fix.

Spent  a  ?? profitable ??  couple  of  hours  cleaning  out  my  Paperwork  Files  !!Laughing

Lovely long walk in the hills above Castelnaud. Got mislaid once or twice but no big problem. Nice sunny day after early mist.

We were going to move north on Weds but forecast still good for week and we're still enjoying it so will stay until a bit later.

Yesterday we drove down the coast, stopping at a couple of lovely seaside towns (Villier sur Mer and Carbonne). Had our lunch sat on the sea front in the sunshine.

Today we spent most of the day wandering around Honfleur. It was market day and the stalls are spread through the streets all over the town.

We had lunch overlooking the river. It was really hot and sunny.

For years we have been to Cornwall at this time of year, but decided to have our French break in September this year. The weather has certainly been better, but maybe it's also good in Cornwall this year?

Write your comments here...We've had quite a few wet breaks in late September in Northern France, Ian, but it seems like all of France is having an Indian Summer so I think you've picked the right year.Happy

I dunno, Wherenext.......we've been a few times in the past in September and done alright. Although usually that's been further south, admittedly.

Van now warm again and hot water on tap, bank account £258 lighter!

OH is trying to re-book some of the days we had to cancel, so we will miss out on Garlieston and arrive home a day early.

There is a fusable link on the Alde PCB and it had failed for some reason.  Will work on the board when I get home and see if I can repair it.  That was one very expensive fuse!

The engineers do not repair these boards, just replace them and throw away the old ones apparently.

Kjell, we arrived today on a CL about a couple of mile from Garlieston. Weather looks as if it will be mixed for the rest of the week, so you might not miss a lot by not coming over this way.
