Gout almost gone, for now, managed a short walk of 1 1/2 miles in 20 mins. That'll do for this week!

OH back at the doctor's today for blood test results. All ok and doc's pleased with BP level too. She's to carry on with the tablets and go back in 6 months for her next blood test.

Warm but cloudy most of the day so we went to the sea-side for a walk along the shore. Heavy rain this evening though!

Write your comments here...Just catching up for first time in a while so glad to hear news.Happy

Had a lovely day in very warm sunshine (touching 30°) on the (non-e) bikes cycling alongside the Loire. Headed into Blois. There was an ice cream cafe by the bridge and well.... you've just got to help reduce the French National Debt, haven't you? I'm still
waiting for the official thank you text from Francois H.

Saw lots of butterflies, including a beautiful Swallowtail, and a Hoopoe was most upset at being disturbed.

I promise to continue to enjoy my caravanning.Happy

Now getting on to longer distance walks, 3 miles in 1 1/2 hrs.

Sissinghurst castle grounds, national trust, enjoyed a coffee and scone afterwards.

    Painkilllers are working a treat!

Will try that next time, thanks. We enjoyed parking up in the Burghley estate parkland after we gave up on the town. I like the area so hope to find a CL nearby.

There are a couple ion the Site Directory, although we've never tried either. We just use the club's Stamford, Top Lodge, site as it's ideal for walking the dog in the forest and for bike rides.

Cheers, WN. Good news, she just has to "keep taking the pills" as the saying goes. Sounds as if you're having much better weather than us. It's poured with rain here all day.Yell We
did manage to sort out a few CLs for our next trip, but won't book them till mid week when we see what the weather's doing. There should be no problem getting in at this time of the year, I hope.

We're just about to set off to Dartmoor for today's Irish Setter Rescue sponsored walk. Should be a great day with up to 40 Setters doing the walk.

Just have to make sure we bring the right two back with us! Laughing

Bit of a lazy day today. Caught up with the clothes washing as weather overcast with a few spots of rain. Forecast good though so getting all our small jobs done today.

Had a bad night due to inconsiderate oiks drinking too much falling down water. Complained to office and told main revellers leaving today.

Checking out other local sites just in case this afternoon.

There's another van here waiting to be done on the outside, Millie.  Laughing  We're off to Cornwall on Friday in the van, to take Anna
to start at Falmouth University so I guess it won't be cleaned now until we get back

It was an excellent day, David, lost count of the number of Setters ( and a few other breeds there as well). Lovely scenic walk and the weather held for us all. Not sure how much raised overall but it'll be several hundreds!

And just to round the day off, there was the cream tea of course - won't need to eat for a couple of days now!

Sorry we'll miss you in Cornwall, but wish Anna good luck from us - a very exciting time starting at uni! Happy

We think we're going up to Penrith first and then into Dumfries and Galloway. If the weather holds we thought of going as far as the club's New England Bay site. We've never done the Stranraer peninsular. Not so good about motor, the delivery date is going
backwards. There's not much time to play with now between latest expected delivery date and the time we really need the car.Frown
