Second day in a row sunshine and warm, I do believe it's summerWink kids went back to school today.

Had a lovely 15 mile bike ride late morning, lunch while we were out was rather nice. This evening we took the trike out for a ride over the hills and through the glen, what a lovely evening, the purple heather is out on the hills everything was looking
great. Stopped off for fish and chips on the way homeSmile

Glad you got that warm weather I sent you TG......Wink

Last day here so it was off to Aldi at Droitwich to stock up before we move on tomorrow. Great weather, sunshine and a light breeze so we then went to Hartlebury Common for a couple of walks and a picnic lunch. Cloudier now towards the West but still a red
sky and a mist hanging in the valley above the River Severn.

After having to get a new battery yesterday, my poor little car is now parked up, awaiting new fuel pipe Sad thought I could smell petrol,
pipe had rusted through. They say things come in three's I hope not!! Frown Off to Cirencester this weekend, just hoping nothing else happens now
    before we go.

We found our previous collies dog bed in the garage when clearing it out, it was in good condition so dropped it off at the Blue Cross Charity shop, before work, hopefully another dog will enjoy the bed. Smile

Visited the Military Aviation museum at Tangmere yesterday, having driven past the sign so many times. The queues off the Chichester bypass down to the 'Witterings' were something to behold. I reckon that some of them would have got there just in time to turn round and head home again. Hayling Island queues looked much the same.

Meeting up with friends today and going to a piano recital at the Cathedeal.  They have a music recital every Wednesday lunchtime throughout the summer. Such a treat. Must finish the last few bits of the holiday ironing first though.Laughing

I expect it will be good to sit in the cool of the cathedral listening to the music Millie, hope you enjoy it. I'm waiting to return our visiting terrier to one of our daughters today after a camping holiday in Cornwall. Next week he returns for another
break with us when she flies off for a longer break.

Flew over the CC site at Hawes the other week.....looked nice from the air, middle of nowhere.

Coniston is great for walking / cycling but not a lot else there. We prefer Keswick.

Keswick has loads of outdoor shops, it has a brilliant old fashioned cinema, it has the Theatre By the Lake, a good supermarket (Booths), a great walk around the lake (Derwentwater) as well as many other fine walks, lots of pubs that do meals (Dog & Gun
are just one that allow dogs and they always did a fine goulash) and I like the cycle routes from there.....oh and the site (C&CC) is a short stroll into Keswick.

Sorry to hear your dog needs treatment Kerry, hope all goes well.

I think we've said goodbye to the sunshine here, a lovely few days now fading away. (Just discovered OH must have flipped the freezer switch off when he was working in our outside store, everything defrosted.....grrrr.)

Write your comments here...Can second Ian's recommendation, HD. I know your better half has mobility problems and Keswick is easy to get into from the C&CC site. Plus all of the buses leave from Booths car park area, near the site, and you can get daily or weekly tickets that take you all over. The scenery is also stunning and it's much easier to get to without navigating along tight roads, which is not the case with Coniston

Another warm day but not as sunny as yesterday, and the cloud has now come in this evening. Easy drive from Ombersley (Worcester) to Wrekin View CL. I can just see a vey pale nearly full moon rising to the east of The Wrekin. Pleasant chat with Brian, the
CL owner, who came across with a hand full of freshly picked runner beans for us.
