We've arrived today at Camping Le Bregoux at Aubignan near Carpentras in N. Provence. It is very warm - 35 degrees - nous sweatons!!
Our pitch is really big. Plenty of room for the caravan, awning and car, with a lot of outside space too. The site has no pool, but work will start on installing a pool in the autumn, for the 2017 season. Excellent news.
David
Write your comments here...That's too hot, David. You need aircon in that temperature!
For most of the day, yesterday, we were travelling in the car so we did have the air con on in the car. It is a little cooler her today, with some cloud - about 24-25 degrees - it feels a little more humid today. We have the fans on in the caravan most
of the night, and end up by sleeping on top of the quilt.David
Write your comments here...If you like visiting hot places, David, it might be worthwhile considering having aircon fitted in your caravan. You will find you will get a much more comfortable night's sleep that way and feel more refreshed when you get up
in the morning.0 -
Just having a coffee and catch up on here. Clothing out all bits together, now have to get into the cases and hand luggage plus be underweight!! Hubby has found our daughter's dolls buggy in the loft, it fits in the case, so guess what?? . I wish he
wasn't a horder . Granddaughter will probably love it as she did/ does the dolls house .JayEss I will sort out and email you hopefully later today, I'll try and tell you on here too in case it ends up in the junk box!
Brue I most certainly will .
Have the rest of the day to 'play' once this stressful bit over, (dont have such issues with the motorhome holidays - would be great to work our way across there! pick up 6.30am tomorrow so I'll be back, threat or promise!!

Blimey, is it really July? Just back from a rather cold, wet walk at Llangollen, around Horseshoe Falls and back over Velvet Hill which involved several lifts to get the dogs over a number of stiles!
Nice pub lunch at the Telford Arms by the canal and met up with Jayess, fellow member of this parish.
Now back, dogs sound asleep - may well be following their example before long!

Yes mousley almost the middle at that!! Not cold here in Essex, almost 17c in the shade, rather humid too so feels warmer, showers with thunder and sun.
According to daughter NZ daytime temps at the mo 15-17c and its their winter - hope it lasts! I might takes summer dress or two OH just packing best given a wide berth for a while . This is where I get nervous will it all go? Will it be under the limit?
Another hour and I'll be fine until we get in the car, more churning until we get to airport, delightful m25. Once luggage handed over can relax. We're doing quickest ever flight 21 hours 20 minutes in total plus with an hour and five minutes inbetween flights,
hope everythings on time! Land 2245 so straight to airport hotel and car pick up following morning. An hour and a half drive and we see them all again. Excited? Moi????0 -
Just been to my monthly chronic pain clinic at the hospital, then came home and started to put right the warranty faults that the dealer had "repaired" on my caravan(cooker loose, front bunks creaking plus numerous other bits they seemed to be incapable
of sorting. Ah well at least i know they are fixed now0 -
Have a great time Bakers. I'm very envious - NZ has been on our "to do" list since retirement. We keep looking at February trips, but then come back to who'll look after the dogs for a month while we're away? One of these days we'll get round to it no doubt!

The trips are expensive. It is expensive to hire motorhome, see my posts on motorhome rent in new Zealand thread started today. Might be able to help out on dog sitting . If you can stand the flight go for it, the fare's same for however long you stay!

Moulesy, I have now lost track of all the fellow CT-ers you have met, I think it must be a record! Hope you are enjoying your hols.
We're off out early tonight to see a Midsummer Nights Dream performed by Illyria....I thought it was at Sherborne Castle but it's at the garden centre next door! Picnic and Prosecco packed, just hope the rain stays away.

Have a great time in NZ Bakers2 can't believe its come round so quick.
July and its still cold and rotten weather, I think its rained every week since we got back from Spain last November. The heating hasn't been off (apart from when we were away) by 20.30 of an evening its so chilly it goes on for an hour just to keep the house aired, same again for an hour prior to getting up in the morning. Last summer wasn't good but this year has been worse.
Went to Dundee today to collect our new tumbler, ours was one of those that had a recall or fix on it. We decided to have the new tumbler for £19 since it was years old anyway.
Called in to our local dealership to have a look see (you have to) saw a nice PVC so got us thinking, oh dear! never bothered with PVC before but we both liked this one.

Brue - the odd thing is that we've only met a couple of them actually on CC sites! I have one of those stickers that Jill designed which I put in our window but rarely does anyone mention it. Of course, it could be that they're all just avoiding me! (
I think the dogs are the main attraction anyway!)Have a great time tonight, hope the weathers behaves for you. (Don't suppose you're interested in a quiz night on Nov 11th are you? Just saying ...... )

Thanks Tammygirl, yes its come round quick even to us. Sign of ageing?! Which PVC van? Keep toying with the idea as we've hired a couple in NZ, have to say weather us better there but we have had a layout we quite like, big compromise is facilities but doable
if you have too. Nothing wrong with ours but you have to keep an open mind .Cases packed all went in and under the limit .
Raining steadily again here and warm so still watching the grass grow by the minute. Oh well who cares?

Went to Worthing this morning......felt like 'coming home' seeing all those familiar names - Fiordelatte, KFC, MacDonalds....didn't spot Burger Mee though.
Went to Shoreham Airport (now known as Brighton City Airport) in the afternoon for the delightful Art Deco terminal building and lovely cafe / restaurant.

Anyhow, I'm glad you managed a visit to Worthing. At least the weather was ok this morning.

We saw an Autocruise Warwick XL. Thinking for the future, could we manage with one, after today I think we could. Once we stop going off to Europe (long time off) would we be better with a PVC or car and caravan, we now think PVC
Glad the cases are packed, that's always a relief.
Forget the grass it will still be there when you get back

Just caught up with things on here, wifi not good in deepest Norfolk, in the pub so connected
Bakers2, have a safe trip and a fantastic time in NZ. Also good to hear all holidays going well.
We had a late walk through the village yesterday, came back with pots of homemade jams and pickles, also a plant, all for sale outside the houses in the village.
Visited Cromer today, even had a cup of tea on the pier, the forecast rain never came, warm and sunny, so spent the afternoon walking the
coast path taking in Cley Marshes, spotted lots of waders so enjoyed trying to name them all.0 -
Four loads of washing done and dried thank goodness. Caravan now cleaned and tidied. Car cleaned (although I cheated and took it to our local hand car wash when I went to our local garden centre to get some bird food). Mr H has made a good start on the garden.
At this rate we might be ready to go away again in 4 weeks time. We will be going to Houghton Mill, one of our favourite sites. The car should know it's way there by it's self, shouldn't it?

Do you mean to the car wash or Houghton Mill nellie? Or maybe both
Houghton Mill. I know that it's a favourite of yours. Millie.

We had a quiet afternoon in the caravan as there were no orders. I spent most of the time catching up on my sleep, knowing that I might not finish until late tonight. Then suddenly, the first order came through at nearly 6p.m.and it's been manic ever since.
The weather hasn't been too good this afternoon and evening. We went to the Tesco Extra in the afternoon to do some shopping.

Hope your trip to NZ goes well, it's soon come round hasn't it?
We moved on southward today to a small non-facility commercial site near Minsterly. There is also a CL at the farm but it is hidden beyond a fishing pond and large hedge. Weather has been miserable for most of the day, rain and heavy clouds when we arrived
but was able to get set up reasonably dry. Looks better this evening.0 -

Glad you went to Cromer Helen. I spent many happy holidays there when in my teens. If you go again have a coffee in the Jetty Cafe. It used to be a coffee bar where I spent a lot of time. It was the Jetty Coffee Bar in years gone by. The layout is much the same much sadly the juke box is no longer there. We shall be in the area in September. Glad you are having a good holiday.
