Its turned into the most beautiful evening here. Got washing blowing on the line, forecast rain didn't come so late doing washing. 21.2 in the shade, clear blue sky . Just finished watering tubs, going back out to potter in the garden for the first time
this year at this time of day.IanH it has been very warm here in Essex but very grey when it hasn't rained. And we've had plenty of that, our garden is usually parched by now but its like a jungle out there.

Bakers, the volunteer guides (who used to work there) made it fun for the children and gave them each a certificate at the end, but I agree I certainly would not have wanted to work down there. The complete darkness must have been terrible.

, Lifted another boat with the 'backhoe' of my machine.Finished early too today ,as late tide meant little activity. Cloudy ,breezy but warm.
Called in to the 'local' ,for an update on the lady i responded to for first aid on Tuesday. She was checked over by the local hospital and found to have low blood sugar and to see her G.P for treatment etc.

ATTN TW & Bakers 2,
Thank you both kindly for that info & advice -- a couple of those will be tranferred to my Kindle-Kase tomorrow !!
Brian
P.S.
You do realise that I'll be heading t'awds bankruptcy now tho' don't you. New Kindle, new computer and now new 'prods' which will cause me to increase my new E-book purchases. Think I'll go & sit in the workshop ( shed) and count how many peanuts for birds I have left L O L

Had a nice snack in a pop up sea food restaurant at Carlyon Bay , it made nice change from sitting in the conservatory.

Missed posting yesterday, so we are now on site on the Wirral. Today we went ot Cheshire Oaks for a bit of retail therapy for OH and managed a couple of walks with Flyte in the local Country Parks. Got back to the van to see the major part of today's stage
of The Tour, and then went out on the bike myself this evening for 1.5 hrs along the Wirral Way.Looks as if we have a Nissen X-Trail rally on the site, as it's full (well 6 vans actually) and ours is the only vehicle that's not a Nissan 4x4!

Have they started work on the housing yet?
We go for a look each year, but up to last September it looked like a bleak, abandoned building site with a few cabins.
Must be costing the developer a fortune. How can it still be viable?

No change as far as I know, Ian. I don't go down there very often as it's such an eyesore.

Just had a topsy turvy couple of days as we've had our 30+ year old hot water system(tank and all) replaced. Had to move all sorts of things so all radiators etc could be drained down. Gave us a good excuse to do some reorganising
all done now, nice neat job, trouble is we've now got the heating on to test the system and check for airlocks. It's a bit warm
a day later, test of new system had a hiccup, radiators getting really hot but no hot water. OH and plumber now chasing air round the system‼? Some very strange gurgling noises
(Mrs Steve)
Mrs S reporting again.
One very hot OH and plumber but problem solved. Phew‼?(In more than on sense of the word) what you get for having an antiquated heating system. Now just have to wait and see if we get any leaks

Late posting today as its been a lovely day here, the best we've had since we got back. Been busy in the garden all day (nothing new there) OH has been tinkering in his man cave, he's supposed to be sorting it out as he needs a new one (its starting to lean
to one side and the roof is sagging) Lots of garden waste to take to the skip tommorrow (OH) once I've got back from picking Mum up. Got lots of washing done and dry, towels had a good blow on the line they smell great now. Even managed to find time to just
sit in the garden, admiring all my hard work while having a cuppa hope this means that summer has finally found its way here.Glad your having a good time with the family MH.
Bakers" can't believe its almost time for you to go to NZ again, where has the time gone.

Fabulous day yesterday, weather was great after we woke up to rain. I am really liking Suffolk. Wonderful walks and wildlife. Couldnt
go into Minsmere as we had the dog and it was too warm to leave him in the car. Walked the coastal path instead. Off to Southwold today.0 -

Told you this sticky out bit of the UK is underrated. But sssshhh don't tell everyone. Thanks for sending the sun evereverntually yesterday we has a glorious evening, first this year.
Write your comments here...That's very true, Bakers2. Many people head for Cornwall, Wales and the Lake District because of the mountains and lakes and forget about East Anglia but the East coast does have the advantage of being flatter countryside which
is easier for camping and caravanning. No need for levelling blocks on flat land, for example. Yet the area seems to have lots to offer.0 -

Know how you feel SteveL , I'm in the process of tidying the Office ( spare bedroom ) to make it easier to fit
the new 'puter when it comes & some of these A4 + A5 files are heavier than I remember, honest { could have
something to do with Big John Wayne winning the West again on the little bitty tv in 'ere !! }0 -
First night of our current trip. Staying at a private site just outside Worcester. Very pleasant, grass pitches, not quite CC standard () but
perfectly adequate for an overnight stop. Just back from a lovely walk through the hay meadows beside the Severn from Ombersley. Nice cuppa and blueberry muffin tucked away, off for a shower now (but they're cold). Early start tomorrow to arrive at Lady Margarets
Park for 12:01!0 -
All packed up ready for going home tomorrow. Family already left to return to N.Ireland via a few days with DIL's brother and family in
Scotland. Off to the village pub this evening for a last might meal.0 -

At least no washing up for you tonight and as you've already packed up you can have as lie in and slow start to being off by noon . Then when you get home you can start putting
things away washing and catching up with the garden. I understand been warm and damp Peterborough way so there'll be plenty of growth0
