Rain here mid morning, but otherwise dry with some sun and some clouds.  Took our old BBQ's remains to the tip, then carried on to Ikea to help OH buy 3 new mirrors for the Guide Hall.

They had a sale on, so we added a few other bits and pieces to the trolley, then we had a bargain "10 meatballs" meal for £1 each, plus free coffee.

On the way home we took the mirrors to the Hall, and had a look at how the painter was getting on.  Seems to be making good progress and thinks we have purchased plenty of woodstain.

First wet day, I will be down there to put the mirrors up, meantime it's back to the window repairs here.

Woken up to a lovely sunny morning here in Worthing. We've just had tea and breakfast cereal plus toast. Soon we'll be taking the car in to have the new off road tyres fitted as it's booked in to be done this morning. They say it will take about two hours, so should be ready in time to start work at 12 noon.

Sunny morning,  sitting listening to thechickens on the cl, had a walk through the village with the dog last night, its possible to buy almost all fruit, veg, jam, pickle and eggs from stalls set up in driveways. Money in an honesty box. Ive really been
    "shopping local" this week. Happy

We took the car in as arranged only to find that their supplier had not delivered the tyres. So now we'll have to take it in again tomorrow morning to have the new tyres fitted.

Second Cut Silage in full flow.

My only contribution? Food. Plenty of it, packed up in boxes and not too sticky or crumbly. It often has to be eaten on the go with one hand. Homemade puff pastry cheese and onion pies did not go down well.

It's going to be a long day. 5:30 start and probably near midnight finish. There's been discussions on which fields need to be picked up before it gets dark.

Sorry, this should maybe be in the "work" thread.

We've started to take the awning down in readiness for our two nights away tent camping. The weather forecast promises no rain for the next few days. We were planning to take the awning down tomorrow morning but no time then because of having to take the car in, which will take up two hours of our morning. So we've just taken the front and sides off. We'll complete the dismantling once we get back from having the new tyres fitted tomorrow.

Myself and others have been having a bit of a "misunderstanding" with our local council over a bus stop that is a lot of the time inaccesable to buses because of thoughtless parking, well we had a letter a couple of weeks ago to say work was going to be
done to improve all the bus stops in our area for easier access ,last week the "problem" bus stop was improved,by putting in a raised kerb to ease access for mobillity scooters, wheel chairs and pushchairs, the only problem is they have still not installed
the parking restrictions that we have been asking for ,so the buses still cannot access the stop, and today we have recieved an email  from said council that there are no plans to restrict parking in that areaYell

    It's been scorching all day

Had a good day in the garden  -- A bit of lumberjacking, A bit of harvesting the veg and a long nap on the Lafuma.

Only time we moved out of the garden was to take the dog for his walks.

    Really relaxing hobby Gardening Smile

How nice that people with mobility problems are still able to get out and about and enjoy their surroundings.

Spent the day with a friend near Andover, beautiful views over Salisbury Plain, we could see for miles. Stonehenge looked busy! We had a nice cream team in Stockbridge and took the dogs for a walk along the River Test, a good day out! Smile

Have had a fabulous day, just arrived at the village pub  making use of the free wifi!

Did another long walk across the marshes towards Blakeney. Called in a the local butchers in Aylsham on way back for some meat to go with all the local veg we have been buying. Last day in Norfolk tomorrow.  Have really enjoyed our time here.

Bakers2 have landed, well at 2330 Thursday NZ time. Into the hotel a snooze sleep and up and ready to start our trip. Nice shower first too shattered when arrived. Flight an hour late leaving Heathrow. How do people manage to get themselves checked in and
then not get to the gate on time???? We only had an hour and 5 minutes between flights . As there were lots of us flight held, as we're several others. So no walkabout in between after all. Knockin effects for what will be our flight home as landed 45
mins before next departure. Could see them all waiting as we disembarked.

Caught up with posts on this thread.  Once showered and refreshed off to collect car then ................

    Belated happy 21st milliehull granddaughter.

Everyone have a good evening as we start our day. Oh by the way wet here but 18c at 6 am winter ? dark so far so can't see much.

I don't doubt it, Husky. That's why I give up so much of my time for free to help people like that.

I was just making an observation about the local demographic.....no need to try and 'point score'.

Lovely evening here in Worthing, the blue sea and blue sky has made it a pleasure to drive along the sea front especially as our first delivery meant turning right down George V Avenue towards West Parade and then the drive along West Parade on to Marine
Parade to get to Bedford Row.
