    TinWheeler,

Further  to  our  comments  elsewhere  about  localised  weather,  it's  just  been  reported  on  BBC local  TV News  in  the  North  West  that  flooding  is  possible  in  any  parts  of  the  River  Weaver  Catchment  area,  inc  Crewe,  Nantwich,
Frodsham  etc  etc.  and  apparently  some  shops  in  the  Cheshiire  Oaks  Retail  area  have  had  roofs  collapse  under  weight  of  water  !!

Think  Its  agonna  be  waders  &  wellies  with  the  old  knitted  swimming  cozzy  tonight  !Surprised

Frightening  thought  but  a  worse sight  !!

OH has just gone into shock!!Surprised Where will she get her retail therapy now. She's just hoping that it's not the clothes shops that
are affected. We are just planning to be down that way in early July, so perhaps by then all will be fixed.

I'm with Oneputt and will not be posting on this thread for the forseeable future unless it significantly changes. Fed up with reading about fast food delivery and a certain member hogging this thread.

Shame part 2 was only 34 posts short of the Sunday departures thread which i believe was the thread with highest number of posts.

The trouble was that about 10% of those posts were for blank pages and and another 20% were MMs attempt to get to gold, so in reality proper posts would not match those on the Sunday Departure issue.

The day started out misty & damp but it soon cleared up and we've had plenty of sunshine and no rain whatsoever. Decided to start my cleaning regime, following our return home, by cleaning the car.....all washed, waxed & polished.Happy

Glad to hear that your van's service is all done & dusted with no problems,Helen. You'll be pleased to get it packed up for your trip to Stamford, now

I will be interested tohear what people say aboutt the new Dad's Army film as we are thinking of getting it for  when we go away in case we get any inclement weatherUndecided

    Write your comments here...

If we watch it tonight I will let you know what we thought if it Millie

We watched it on the Brittany Ferries ferry back to the UK in March.  We enjoyed it but wouldn't recommend you go out of your way to watch it rather than wait for the DVD to come out.  It was funny but nothing special.  The real stars were Godfrey's sisters.....
and it was amusing to see Ian Lavender taking the role of a General...

we have ended yp watching something else now but thanks for the reply maybe just wait until its out on DVD then

it's the Coliseum rather than Cheshire Oaks. Roof collapses in several units including debenhams.

Not too bad at the moment. It's the back of the legs that feel it stretching to polish the car roof. We've both got appointments tomorrow morning, OH at the hairdressers and thenme at the dentist to get a filling put backin, so I won't get started on the
van till the afternoon, weather permitting.

Now arrived at a nice little site just SE of Luxembourg city, quite a few UK vans here too.  Weather not too bad today, managed to cook and eat dinner outside after putting on our thick sweaters!   Now back in the van with the heating on.

Short trip from Nancy to here so arrived in good time for lunch and spent the afternoon planning what to do.

Unusually for an ACSI site, they wanted to know how long we planned to stay and asked for payment up front.  Even worse......they don't take credit cards!  Luckily we had enough cash to pay for 4 nights.

However OH has made a 4 day plan, so we will need to raid the bank to pay for a 5th night here.  The forecast is not good so plans may well change.

The last leg of the trip will be to a site on the coast in Belgium on Sunday, in preparation for our ferry on Monday morning, then we have another 9 days till we are due home.

Write your comments here...we liked Luxembourg especially the city, lots of things to do, hope you have a good time. We are in Limoges at the moment, weather was awful yesterday very heavy rain, today has been much better thank goodness. Moving up to Angers
on Thursday or Friday then Caen on Monday for ferry Tuesday morning. Think we will be chasing you up the road, stopping off briefly to see both boys and families on the way.

We've woken up to a lovely morning here on Northbrook Farm CC site. The air is much cooler and fresher this morning so I've opened up all the windows in the caravan but on opening the windows, I was immediately affected by my allergy and started getting upper lip swelling so I've taken some Piriteze which usually works in relieving it.

I thought with it being fresher and cooler, the pollen count would be lower, so I was surprised to be affected.

We have a grass pitch and with the rain we've had over the last few days, the grass is looking greener. I think this site is lovely for its greenery and the wardens do a great job in keeping the site looking lovely.

We always have the morning to spend in the caravan so that we can have lunch before starting work. We're looking forward to our day off tomorrow.

What to do today?  I can see area's of blue skies and white clouds, some grey ones too but nothing like the heavy skies of the last few days. Forecast is for thunder storms, they didn't happen yesterday so hoping they won't today. Think we will try another
    cycle ride if possible.

Thanks Bakers2 for the good wishes, from what we see on the news uk have not been having it great either.

We will be looking for a site for a couple of nights between visiting our sons. Somewhere between Tidworth and Penistone, thinking of Rutland water, all suggestions wellSmile

Seems like you're getting fair weather then, Tammygirl. I always think fair weather is best for active days out. Too much sun can make you feel too hot to want to do anything.

We can't help noticing that others on this site go out more either cycling or walking in fair weather. If there's no cloud or breeze they lie out in relaxers sometimes with a sunshade and fall asleep or read a book.

I can't help noticing that this new thread of part 3 has already gone to ten pages in just one day! However, no blank pages so far so at least that problem has been resolved.
