Haven ....never again

The problem is once again we are not comparing apples to apples. BB is talking about 1 site (similar to those abroad) where they are trying to maximise profit/occupancy whereas the CC has 200+ sites . It's easy to change 1 site especially if it's yours but
to make a change at 200 takes a little more planning and resource and of course as we have seen on here different members have different views so what I or BB think is a good idea lots of others don't.I did ask at sandy balls recently about a MHSP as we arrived full but was met with blank stares so had to manually empty the grey water on the pitch using the fiamma but they didn't seem interested.
One site? Isn't Crealy part of Hoseasons?

Apples & Pears- Surely the CC could experiment with more mid week discounts off peak to entice us to use the CC sites particularly in winter.Last Jan we were on Lady Margaret with ony 8 vans in total. Havnt looked at 2017 prices but my guess it will be
the easy option - increase prices and extend peak periods. Dont mention competition during the tea breaks.0 -
michael, a few metres of grey corrugated pipe to guide the water into the drain is a useful (and cheap and light) extra to carry.....
re, the club having more sites.....yes they do....but the club doesnt have to change/develop every site in the same way...at the same time..
not all of their sites will require the same attention...
not to address an obvious issue just because it costs a bomb to do it at every site is a nonesense....just fix (at low cost) what needs fixing....where it needs fixing.
also, when considering rolling out large, wide spread improvements, remember....the way to eat an elephant is in small pieces....
..I notice that you carry an "extention" pipe to cater for the inadequately designed waste on your M/van, which your "mod" could have been incorperated in the build, which as said before would save the thousands of pounds that is expected to be spent on
all companies sites,0 -

..And to the detriment of CLs in the area

Reduce weekday prices in January for LAdy Margeret's Park. Can't see much advantage to the club in doing that. For a couple it is presently under £16 at that time of year. There is a limited number available to go away at that time of year in the week. Those
who are working would wish to use their leave between March and October. Those that are able to will be older couples or singles. How much should they reduce prices by and would it have a great increase in uptake? If they reduced it to £13 they would probably
need a 25% increase in usage to make it break even. They could trial it but they have in the past had mid week discounts and I wonder if that made much difference?

Would just like to see the highly paid HO lot just use a bit of imagination in the pricing structure for once to try and counteract the cheap deals available elsewhere off peak. No need to increase peak prices if they get more of us back on CC sites.

BB, I've noticed that he does seem to target you more than others.....

We have used Porthmadog 2015, and Wild Duck this year. Both times we have gone mid Sep. When you can book on a fully serviced pitch with fantastic toilet block {Porthmadog} for £11 per night. Wild Duck was not fully serviced, again you are paying less than
a CL. We are not ones for the club house. It was nice to be able to call in for a drink, and on one evening we ate in the restaurant in the Wild Duck. The food was good. I think they are good value if used out of season. We are looking to try another for definate.0 -
Well, don't try Seaview, Weymouth!
