Cycles on site

Of course but I am sure you realise that a repair to manufacturers official repair standards in order to maintain warranty on a newish car is a different kettle of fysh

I am ... but of  course that doesn't mean you get a better repair.  Just the other day I removed the over spray from my rear wing after MB had repaired it to their exacting standards ....on  the 2nd attempt

Hopefully IMO cycles and children will remain a feature of CC sites, the real issue is the kids need to know there are some basic ground rules. That
aspect I sense even with my own grandchildren is not these days the "in" thing. We have in another context been politely criticised for trying to guide our grandson with what we thought sensible rules of behaviour, apparently subduing his natural expression
of freedom. 

Have to agree with your post Ocsid, that basically is part of the problem. It's when expression of freedom becomes a hazard to themselves or others that problems arise. Teach children a few basic rules around respect for others, how to conduct themselves
in public places, how to share, when it is not appropriate to be noisy or naughty and then let them get on with things from there. Just basic social skills really, and not a problem if parents don't abdicate responsibilities, which to be fair isn't that common.
Far easier to avoid a problem than to have to deal with the consequences in my opinion.

My Landcruiser doesn't go in supermarket car parks it is only used for towing.

That is very true

 ....This is why i want to keep my Landcruiser in the condition i bought it in, no kids riding bikes around Caravan Club Sites. I don't want kids anywhere near my pride and joy. As i said earlier in the thread
i paid a lot of money for my Landcruiser and i don't want it mark in any way. So keep your kids away from my Caravan and Landcruiser.

Campaign for a ban on kids &/or cycles then in the CC or find yourself a anadult site ......... Do you think that none of the rest of us paid good money for or cars & caravans? While you're campaigning, I think I'll run my own to vet all potential CC members
..... I might have to pitch next to them (my kids are 27 & 28 and don't cycle round CC sites anymore ..... but my grandkids might. )

I'm aure anyone of us who has a new car or caravan would like to keep it in the condition when it was bought but accidents happen.  However, accidents on club sites can be avoided but a common sense approach is needed.  I wouldn't want to ban children riding
bikes but some basic rules should be followed in that, where there is a one way system, they should go with the flow of traffic,they should always wear a helmet and have lights on after dusk.  I would expect this to happen at home so why is any camp site different.

And Bri - if you don't want your Land Cruiser damaged go outside of school holidays or use an adults only site!

I must admit i am very protective of my outfit but i have to say that in 42yrs on club sites it has never once got damaged!! like people have said before some people over stating the "problem" far

The only time mine has got damaged on site was from a stone thrown up from the wardens mower. I mentioned it to him but all I got was a shrug of his shoulders. The van was only a few months old then and it is now 10.

In those 10 years the dent has not affected my enjoyment of it one jot.

I can't help thinking that some people are far too precious about their possesions.

I never go in school holidays but there are always kids there.
