At the moment we are at Moreton in Marsh CC site, and have noticed that the times for the toilet block cleaning have changed to 2pm to 4pm, which we think is a lot better for most people.Smile

Is that for both blocks, or do they only have the one open at the moment? If the latter is the case those times seem eminently sensible to me. Happy

I think that afternoon times are better than morning times in most cases and probably suit most people.

That's a much better time don't remember it being that late last time we were there. We are at Hawes and there's are 11:30 - 12:30, for us that is a big improvement on the 10/10:30 closures...lazy morning and breakfast then pop to shower before out.  We
can never seem to time it right with the earlier closures. I seem to remember I think it was Cirencester a couple of years ago also had a late closure around 12:30 ish ( possibly!!)....lets hope more manage to follow suit.

I have found most sites with two or more toilet blocks tend to do an am then pm clean

I don't have a problem with the toilet blocks being closed in the mornings for cleaning, we don't get the chance for much of a "lay in" when away, the dog still wants to go for his walk.Laughing Doesn't
    appreciate being kept waiting.

The 4pm finish wouldn't suit me as I like to shower in the afternoon after we have been out for our long walk. We usually head off by 10 ish and get back to the van after 3:00.

..I think if you have been to Moreton you will have noted the size of the facilities blocks and the very high standard that they are kept

I am yet to find a toilet block not cleaned to a high standard the times have never been a problem for our family.

If the site has two toilet blocks then it generally has 3 sets of wardens and an afternoon clean can be put in place. Whereas on a two couple site this is not practicable.

Afternoons are better for us too. I got caught out so often by morning closures that I stopped using site facilities.

Two hours is an awful long time though. I can get my house sparkling in two hours

Me too! But then due to my dodgy eyesight/incompetence Mrs M has to go all round and do the job again ( only "properly" this time)! Laughing

Nearly every time I log onto CT there are a number of people whinging if not one thing then another, now it's toilet times. One does'nt have to be caught out whatsoever. Just about every caravan has a built in toilet and those very rare ones that don't can
obtain a portable loo. Can't see what the problem is, I NEVER use site facilities, never will. Some people need to get a life and stop whinging and contribute something of interest.

Oh that is so funny for so many reasons KFC! Happy

We are currently in a field, glorious views, birds singing, sun shining brightly and warm enough for a tee shirt. What care I for the mysteries of bog cleaning!Cool

Was at M in M last week, they have two different closing times for toilet blocks, 10-12 for the one to right of entrance and 2-4 for that to the left. Seems sensible to me.

Have I not seen notices on the door of toilets that are being cleaned directing those in desperation to use the seperate disabled equiped toilets?

Forgive me, but what is pathetic about those responses?  I genuinely don't understand.  The way I read ttda's post is that they are in a field, even saying: "What care I for the mysteries of bog cleaning!"

For the life of me I cannot read a "whinge" anywhere in that post about site toilets

I am happy whenever they clean the toilets. If I want to use the site showers it will usually be before 7am.

This is my experience.... there always appears to be some flexibility.

KJ, you need to get yourself booked onto an anger management course, is this you getting off on trolling? As I cant imagine you being so insulting in real life. Perhaps just a bad day eh?

You don't want flexibility. Nothing worse than a wonky loo seat.
