3 week trip to Santander to Southern Spain & Portugal
Hi, we’ve booked a ferry to Santander on 30/08 for us (wife and me) and our motorhome, returning 3 weeks later. We plan to make our way down to the Seville/coast area, before returning via Portugal (or Portugal first, then Spain). I’m looking for recommendations on sites/places to visit/stop. We don’t want to drive more than 200 miles a day. Thanks in advance.

You have already posted about this >here.< If you want information about Portugal have a look at my notes >here.< They are a bit dated now because we have not been to Portugal for some time. Also have a look at >Visit Portugal< For a return route I would head for the Algarve and travel to Lagos before heading north to Porto from where I would either use the A4 to get back to Valladolid and then Santander or head into northern Spain to Santiago de Compostela, Coruna and then back to Santander along the north coast of Spain. It all depends on the amount of time you have and your preferences. I have recorded a trip around the Iberian Peninsular >here< which you may also find of use?
Apart from the sites mentioned in my notes, I would use Apps like Search4Sites to find sites to your taste and the latest reviews.

Riva Gold, thank you for posting again to remind us of your plans , though you did mention Portugal as well as Spain first time round .
Did I not suggest a guidebook when you originally enquired ? I think that will give you ideas of places worth visiting in both countries.
