Multi use Head light beam deflecters - do they exist?

Hi, I am undertaking my first overseas trips in 10 years very soon to Brittany, and I have another trip booked for September to Normandy. Can you get multi-use headlight beam deflecters rather than the use once then throw away type. I prefer to reuse and buy better quality because if these trips are not disasters then more will follow in 2026 😀

I’ve not come across them, but the single use Eurolights we always buy are only £5.20 delivered from an Amazon Market place supplier. They are very easy to fit and more importantly don’t come unstuck until you want them to and then the sticky film is easy to remove.

One method from days gone by used by frequent travellers was to apply the plastic lens protectors to your headlights and fix the "beam benders" to these. They then removed the protectors when home and re-fitted for each trip.

You do not say what car and model you own as they are not always needed. Xenon have a different beam pattern and do not generally need adjustment. With LED units I believe there is often a setting in the cars menu to alter the lights. With older cars running halogen units some could be found with a lever under the bonnet next to the lights.

The manual should tell you about what has to be done to drive on the right, but it can be hard to find. Or ask your dealer.

I had a 2014 Yeti with Halogen Lights. You need the beam benders.

Given the cost of the deflectors I doubt there is a market for re useable ones and have never been offered them. With many cars now having a switch to move the setting I doubt re usable ones will be offered. Using the switch might get you stopped by police to check the position and I am not sure if the idea is accepted abroad.
