Constant Error Message
Enough is enough!
For quite some time I have been getting the following message whenever I am using CT;
The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.
This has now got to the stage that it happens every click I make when in CT, other than if I click on Discussions, which got me to here.
I don't want to assume its CT so if anyone has any suggestions that would be great as I have reduced mt CTing due to the level of frustration.

It is indeed this site, A&J, it is not you.
What a great shop window it is for the club! 😥

It's good to know I'm not being singled out. Whatever device I use it happens. It happens any time early hours, middle of the day etc so not just volume of traffic. When the dreaded message doesn't appear it takes soooo long to load a page.
As someone has said great shop window for the club, doesn't inspire confidence in the club and that fact that it's been known about for years shows just how much the club cares. We're no longer members so I don't use the booking system or looking for sites. But I don't expect that experience has improved since I left.
Maybe some will report the thread and just a very slight maybe they'll be a response..............

I did actually send an email to Ro as requested. She replied recently asking if things had improved. Obviously I replied in the negative, so no need to report your post Bakers. They cannot profess ignorance of it. Whether they do anything positive is entirely another matter.
I tend to find the server error appears more regularly on Apple products but still appear on others as well.

Thanks for trying, WN.

There was a brief time when it improved and first thing in the morning it appears faster but I suppose by the time everyone has had their cup of coffee it is back to it's dismal appalling slow self.
The booking side appears to work very well so it looks like just CT forum is the slow part.
The thing is as we all seem to keep putting up with it why should the club think about fixing it? As WH says unless we all complain they'll do nothing till they have to.

Reported your post WN, just to keep the pot boiling, as it were.

I find the error message very intermittent. So went on the site about 20mins ago - got the error message, so did something else & now its OK.
What annoys me is that when you click to "view more" in Reviews or Latest Activity, sometimes you get the next chronological ones, sometimes it skips a day, and if you click for more, you get the missing ones. If you see what I mean.

Hi All, I was pretty sure ‘‘twas not I” so have reported Nellies post reporting WNs post.

”They might be forced to do something if enough people complained.”
I very much doubt it. I’ve emailed twice over the past couple of years and all I’ve received is what I consider to be a scripted response. My guess is that the forum is probably more trouble than it’s worth.

I know that capitals is considered to be shouting but not sure how you whisper .....................its been OK since 0630 to day and I have been able to navigate without the error message coming up.
Lets see how long it lasts.

I assume a lot of the issues are device specific, other than the snail like pace of course.☹️ 99% of the error messages I get are when I try to go into latest activity. They occur on a regular basis. However, it is very rare these days for me to get one when navigating. That noise thread that disappeared the other day was the first for a while. As for the updating that has never really worked consistently and I tend to ignore it. It does mean it takes longer finding things though.

Is it just me or are things running OK?

Those at HO know exactly what they are doing. By letting it get worse and worse more will drop off using CT until there are so few contributors that they can turn round and say that it's not worth running it any more and so close it down. Ever since they introduced their FB page this has been their intention, whatever they might say to the contrary.

Well its back to error messages for me.

when other Club 'improvements' are asked for, the stock response from CT is that 'it will cost money and drive prices up!'
ps....yes, its pretty slow....noticibly slower than other sites...

Hi everyone,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I apologise for the slow performance of the forum.
There is no intention by the Club to let the forum perform badly to put off contributors, or to close it down. Nor is it the role of Facebook to replace the forum.
Please do continue to report any error messages you are experiencing and we will update you with any fixes to the forum. Rowena has closed the Snagging List discussion but has asked,
"As the Snagging List discussion was closed as it did tend to go off topic on many occasions, I have removed this but please report any new issues you find to communitymanager@camc.com. I will be using the feedback from the old discussion to help make improvements to Club Together in the future.
Many thanks."
