‘Independent Review’ - what’s the point? They take an eternity and years later when they finally report, most people are thoroughly bored, frustrated and moved on. There’s little prospect of anybody being censured given the novelty and circumstances of an unprecedented crisis. However, each of us including the families of the 100,000+ will make our own judgement and act/vote accordingly. I’d rather see resources going in to supporting those most damaged by the pandemic, rewarding healthcare staff properly and giving them the resources they deserve.

Plus, Government decides on chair and scope of any inquiry.
