Hmm ..I don't know Brue, but I can have the whole thing done in less than 60 seconds. You don't hang around if you are familiar with a website.. It worked in July, we booked and went away to 2 sites, came back and tried to book more in exactly the same way, and it fails every single time on both my PC and laptop on any browser and via the app.. Summats wrong... It doesn't like me anymore.

Tick to agree terms isn't there on the page I am on before is goes to the error page, I get as far as the page where you choose pitch type enter number of people , time of arrival and vehicle reg. just click to continue at the bottom. No tick box to agree terms is visible at all. I know it appears with CAMC...0 -
I haven’t experienced any problems with iPad/IOS but if you look at the CCC Forum, you’ll see that you’re not alone. One suggestion is to clear your cache and ensure your browser is up-to-date, especially if using Chrome. Whatever, it’s clearly a problem that has been reported so just a case of being patient or picking up the phone.

We have used the CAMC at Malvern several times, nice site, but now we are also CCC members we thought we would try it for a change. No idea about which has the best facilities, we will not be using them anyway, but there is a good saving with CCC. We are only there 3 nights, and unfortunately only one would get the CAMC mid week discount.
Are the CCC prices that come up now the prices with the lower rate of VAT, or is there still that to come off?

The site here has filled up again significantly, must be about 95 per cent full, so either the effect of staycation or whatever, the asking price of (from tomorrow) of £30 per pitch per couple or £34 for a SP hasn't appeared to deter many.
The price tonight is £36 for a standard pitch.

No idea where ‘here’ is, but to me says nothing other than lots of people pursuing limited places. Unprecedented demand from people desperate to secure pitches maintains high prices (obviously) and some are willing to pay over the odds for additional services, rather than make the effort themselves.
As a fully paid up CMC member, I wouldn’t pay £36 for a standard pitch, unless it included breakfast and room service!

Unless you are talking about commercial sites some who tend to normally give loss leader prices to try to attract custom at what in normal times would start about this month
Both clubs prices are published in the previos year or early in the current year and do not alter ,unless they get cheaper with as some pools closed or the VAT reduction which has been passed on ,unlike other organisations it seems by posts on here

Niether would I without checking what the alternatives are out there. If you are not too fussy there are plenty of alternatives. Check out the Haven offers.. They are usually pretty good once schools have gone back.

We have and do pay, as we are happy with the product. Not that we go away in peak much. There are many things we buy that we could get alternatives for less, we might even think they are expensive, however we are content with our choices, as presumably are those who go elsewhere. Surely that is all that matters.

This has been my frequent flyer site for over 20 years and it has always been popular and full over school holidays so your point about just happening now is incorrect.

Funnily enough there is a site just a few miles away that is more expensive, and a site under a mile which is far cheaper but looks about half empty.

It’s a great time to be out, the stifling heat is gone, we usually get a 2nd summer blast before true Autumn arrives. Wonderful time of the year👍🏻😊

The way I have looked at prices this year is that I know that the amount of time will will spend away will be a fraction of what we spend in a normal year. With that in mind we have booked three stays of four nights each on Club sites on serviced pitches. One stay completed two to go. I am likely to spend somewhere in the region of £1400 less this year on site fees than I did last year. With the exception of a few hardy souls who are trying to catch up with their touring I imagine many will be in a similar position. I can't see it worth fretting about prices. There are always cheaper alternatives. As most Club sites seem to be pretty full since sites reopened their prices can't be that much out of line otherwise there would be a lot of spare capacity.

Against our "usual"200+ nights away, this year as OH is very much in the "shielding" and we are both in our mid to late seventies we expect to be it will be even with bookings for later this year less than 50 nights
Up sides being we have had our home grown veg, and the bank balance has not taken so much of a hit
Also we are only on our second tank of diesel since January and enough to get us to our next weeks destination from Sunday ,after yet again brushing the cobwebs off the car , also good look round the c/van berfore we set off from the storage site

I think the ease of booking, altering or cancelling If necessary, is a great selling point for the Club and will attract bookings in these uncertain times, we have already booked and had to cancel twice, earlier in the summer, but hope we can get away soon.
With the above in mind, we have booked all Club sites for this proposed trip, though some are not exactly where we ideally would want to be, so we may alter 2 or 3 to CLs once we are certain the trip can go ahead, plus the possible swap to CCC at Malvern, though that is one of the not ideally situated stops.
Our time away this year will be about 28 nights instead of a possible 90, so money saved on that, but increased fuel bills at home of course. Plus all the extra time at home has lead to quite a bit of unplanned spending on various things around the house, so the bank balance is about as usual and site fees are still something to be considered, though the VAT reduction is helpful.
The last 12 months have been quite an expensive time anyway as we have had 13 new tyres within 5 months, 2 cars plus caravan, and also the usual servicing and insurance costs, so we would have been planning our trips using mainly CLs this year.

I don’t fret about prices, I’m prepared to pay what something is worth. However, I object to being overcharged or getting poor value for money, just because market forces mean they can take advantage.
If, as you say, there are always cheaper alternatives it does say something about CMC prices and the benefits (or not) of membership. I don’t really follow the point about overall spend. Taken to its logical conclusion you’d be happy to spend whatever as long as overall, it amounted to less than your anticipated budget?
