Thanks for posting, its lovely to know that someone does look at CT, hopefully this thread in particular 😉, so making comments here maybe worthwhile.

I have to agree with the other positive posts this morning it does seem to be working much better than it was - although that wasn't overly difficult 🤣🤣

Keep up the good work, keep checking CT and reporting our observations to whom it may concern - for action 😉and stay safe.

I'm sure that'll be looked at when we upgrade to the new CMS. It was mentioned in one of the technical calls last night; the servers were spec'd out for the original website upgrade in 2016.... obviously things have moved on since then.

    One lives in hope 👍👍

I had trouble logging in this morning and it seems to be something to do with an upper case letter in my stored email address which was rejected for the first time ever🤷‍♂️. But I'm here now 😄

Seems it's not just me with the email issue. I've been using it that way on auto fill for years and hadn't even realised it was stored with an incorrect upper case letter. CT must have become case sensitive.

Banned? It never entered my head. My conscience is clear 😇

Indeed. I've just had the first one of the day. Perhaps the plaster is slipping.☹️

Perhaps we will have to be limited in our posting. Put in a queue like booking day. So as not to overload the CPU.😉

Typical of an IT department, if having problems turn off and on again. Sorted. undecided

Indeed, it only appeared to resolve the issue temporarily.

An emergency change for increasing the resources on the affected server has been submitted to our hosting partner. We hope to have this implemented within the next two hours.

Apologies to all for the performance issues currently being experienced.

    Justin

Think the club should close CT down altogether until such time that they sort out all the performance issues, after all i dont see that CT will directly affect revenue, but not being able to access the booking system for e.g. will, especially if they get a green light to open on the 4th July

Don't think there is any need for that. As frustrating as Club Together is I think it is providing members with a useful form of communication during these difficult times. Individuals do, of course, have the option of voting with their feet if they are find using the forum too exasperating but many of us plod on with it. Even if the 4th of July does signal the reopening of campsites there will be many of us who won't be rushing to make bookings so Club Together is a useful outlet to while away a bit of time each day.

Why is it it seemsthe rest of the club sites are working as normal? but it is as it seems , always CT that has this really long term issues?

I have been doing quite a lot of reorganising site bookings just now without any of the problems that always seem  to affect CT

I suppose you would expect to keeping booking side of website going over the Club Forum? I could be way off here but I wonder if the problem is that Club Together is constantly being updated by member posts. The only other parallel I can think of is when lots of members decide to book sites at the same time which tends to throw it off line. Less so recently with the rolling booking. The rest of the website is just look up rather than look up and add?

Common sense really-CT is more problematic than what it’s worth, it most probably loses more members than it brings in. The costs go up way faster than the profits it generates. The money is not in a bunch of grumpies tearing chunks out of each other(verbally). The SR has always been a battle ground since it began. There ya go JV. . .You are most welcome. If you intend to reply in JVese please run it past your good lady first as she no doubt understands it, she may help. Have a good day😘

I think CT and the main web site run on different servers and it sounds like the CT one is underfunded????? It could also be a  problem with communicating between servers???? Just guessing really.

Its hardly usable at the mo, I gave up earlier.

When we came back from our walk this afternoon it was showing the essential maintenance page. Now it's back it is running extremely slowly, pages taking 30 seconds to load. So I guess whatever they tried didn't work.☹️

There you have it. It's under-resourced. CT is the poor relation.
