Club web site so slow

am I the only one with this problem, trying to search by map, on my usually fast iPad, the feature is unusable slow.

As a memeber of both clubs, I use the same feature on the other clubs website, perfectly on my iPad.

Ive always found the cc web site sluggish and annoyingly slow , and I have checked all the connections etc, it's on the club website that is like this, especially bad when searching for eurotunnel, and worst so far is search by map.

Is it just me?

Over the past few weeks the site has been very slow, even slower than previously. The site has been almost unusable.

The sad thing is that the IT department don't seem to be doing anything to resolve the situation despite constant complaints.

I don’t like to complain, but it’s probably the slowest site I’ve ever come across. Functionality isn’t great either, but it is what it is.

I complained to HQ and they said it was because I had windows 10. they just haven't got a clue.

Slow  does  not  begin  to  describe  the  lack  of  speed  here  tonight  !

I started  tonight  with  a  T.V.  showing  Morse,  by  the  time  I  got  to  a  position  I  could  add  a  post  it  had  turned  into  a  repeat  of  Lewis  yell

I totally agree with the above comments, tonight has to be the slowest its ever been, finding this very frustrating when looking for a site to book think I will just go back to the book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Can the club not do anything about this, we also have windows 10 but why should this make a difference?

Have been unable to read posts or join in. Just managed to log in now.

I think the club might offer an explanation sooner rather than later or folks will just give up.

Sadly for whatever reason the cc website has been this way for years.

It's regularly so slow as to be virtually unusable.

The device, browser or OS used makes no difference.

I couldn't get on this evening around 8.00pm. There was just no response from the server and I kept getting an error message.

The past couple of weeks it’s been that bad The pages are taking minutes to load, I have given up most evenings tending to catch up first thing when it’s quiet, so much faster at 6 am after the dam crows have awoken me

Looks like the site gradually loses capacity from early evening onwards which must be off putting to new users attempting to look at sites or make bookings.

Thankyou Rowena, on a previous staff reply (not yourself) it was stated that there had been no reports of problems and I wonder if people have given up contacting the club about this ongoing fault? I do hope things improve or there is a reasonable explanation since it effects everyone trying to use the website.

It's not just the forum, it's the whole site, makes viewing sites and CLs a nightmare. It really is time the IT issues were given priority and sorted. I can't think of another website I use that has as many problems, so frustrating to use at times. It's actually easier and quicker to use the handbook and talk to sites directly at times.

Yes, I signed in to amend a booking this morning but after a couple of thwarted attempts the "lego men" appeared so obviously things aren't right.

All so "yesterday". Younger potential members will take a look at website, think OMG and go elsewhere because it's easier. Especially those with Apple devices!

Nah, It's just a flash in the pan.--- I do wonder why people are complaining about the site being slow.  It's been like that for years. People should be used to it by now.

I'm sorry you were told it was because of windows 10 as this isn't actually the case. Do you know who you contacted and I will make sure they have the correct information.
