I find this forum extremely slow to load & have done since I joined 18 months ago. It takes ages to load & sometimes I don't bother waiting and go elsewhere on the net. Its not at my end my Broadband speed & Laptop are very good & all other sites load fast.

I always find it depends on the time of day. Currently at 10.22am in the morning it is working fine but then on some days around mid evening it becomes impossible. I am no expert but that would point the finger at the capacity of the servers to cope with demand but what do I know!

I am getting this statement constantly tonight:

    This page isn’t working
    www.caravanclub.co.uk didn’t send any data.

    ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

As previously suggested, this implicates the club's servers not responding to requests for web pages.

This is a club issue and nothing to do with what browser is being used or the speed of an internet connection.

Tonight is the worst I have ever known🐌🐌, keep getting ‘Page not opened due to no Internet Connection’ yet all other pages including 1 I am a mod on are running as quickly as ever🤔

    Hi everyone,

I have an update from the Club regarding the issues you have been experiencing. We are aware of the recent website performance issues and have identified 3 issues that need addressing.

The fix for the first of these 3 issues was implemented on Friday. It has reduced the number of errors seen in the log files and has improved performance in some areas of the website.

The second fix we hope to implement in the next day or so.

The third fix addresses some of the caching issues.

A decision was made to implement these 3 fixes separately, so that we could monitor their impact.

Please be assured that the performance issues are being treated as a priority by our technical teams involved and has been escalated to the highest level.

We will keep you updated and I sincerely apologise for the frustration this has been causing you.

I live in hope, Rowena. It’s been very slow intermittently today. I suppose that’s better than slow all the time. Glass half full.

In the context of last night, yes it is better tonight. In the context of acceptable response times it is still unacceptable.

Definitely better than it was. I am not getting the error messages and pages are taking less time to load. Still a way to go yet though.

There I was thinking they had sorted it. However, it has just hung up for about 5 minutes. Back to OK again now though. Perhaps someone pulled out the wrong plug.😂

Oh this site!! Just tried to log in, got wrong way signs twice, hit back button and lo I'm logged in 😤. Not the first ocassion been happening for months!

Then wouldn't let me post, I copied what I'd typed, see you do get wise 😉 refreshed and it slowly added to the thread. Been working fairly well until now.

What are the issues and when will they be resolved??

Noticed a spelling mistake, clicked edit, slowly slowly slowly it loaded 😭

    Bakers2

See Rowena's post of the 22nd May a few above your post. They have identified three issues one of which has been corrected the other two are being worked on.

The second fix was due to be implemented within a day or 2 of Rowenas post on the 22nd. One has to wonder if their clock runs as slow as this forum🤔🤣

I do follow this thread. I was interested to read earlier staff reports on the forum saying they weren't aware of any issues 😲😲. I read Rowena post and thought she was implyng all sorted very soon now things identified, that was 6 days ago.

Been checking the forum over this aftenoon and evening. Very noticeable slow down from around 5.30-6pm and has got worse ever since! Surely it's not being worked on over a bank holiday evening?

It did seem to have a hissy fit tonight but I think it’s returned to its normal low ratio crawler gear speed now.

Painful yet again. Often getting page can't be reached or server error if you're lucky. Generally just hanging. It's not my wifi or equipment as every other webpages opens fast.

Do you think any staff are looking at posts or have any idea?
