If I'm not mistaken "perspicacious"  refers to being able to see flaws and details that others may have missed, such as those flaws within the CMC's outdated booking system. ----- Well done BB how perceptive of you.

how could you know if 'others understood it'.....wishful thinking?wink

either way, i was relating my own booking experiences which (like yourself) were different to how the club said it would be.

no need to 'engage brain' thanks, it was only a few days ago, quite able to remember this....

many others also suggest they didnt get kicked out after one booking.

    merry christmaswink

I was 'kicked out' after every booking. I reckon BB (and others) were just plain cheating the system! laughing

Personally, I think if they are looking at altering the booking system, then it's a case of "careful what you wish for"! The upgrade to the website and forum left a lot to be desired, and if they get this next proposal wrong, then it could be a very big decider for a lot of current members who like to book online. Get that wrong and it will further alienate members.

The Club has got some serious decision making to carry out in next few years to maintain its membership levels. Value for money, and being an interesting place to stay, coupled with an easily accessed booking system will be critical to maintaining and growing membership.

The one thing that hasn't yet happened in the UK, despite the huge increase in MH sales and ownership, is a network of basic pull in and park up for a night safe little "Sites". Someone, at some point, needs to latch into this market, either as a private venture, or hand in hand with LA's and provide a space, a tap and a disposal point. Unstaffed, buy into electronic access, accept whatever issues go with it, for a very basic price! One night stays only. There will be issues, if humans are involved, bound to be!

Personally I think the system worked very well, I couldn't get on just after 8.00 so I did the sensible thing and took the dog for a walk. When I got back after about half an hour or so I logged straight on and made all the bookings I needed without any problems at all.

The only improvement I would like to see is to be able to book hard standings but that is a policy change rather than a system change which is needed. Just keep the booking system as it is.
