Can't really understand where this thread is going now?  children will always be children, we are the responsible adults and have a duty of care to them, be it our own family or those we come in to contact with irrespective  of whatever we are doing or where we are. It's a fact of life and a mature, responcible adult assumption as far as I see it?

If you feel that strongly about the interaction / impact  they have on your leisure activities go somewhere there are no children.  .

    It's that simple smile

No being rude, just saying as I see it cool

p.s. I was a child some 50 years ago and am sure I P***** of a few adults back then cool

If there is a blind corner, then I'm sure you're capable of taking the appropriate due care  wink

Tsk, I don't know, some very sloppy usage of the English language on this forum. Gangs, Mafia, every dog related thread always includes the term "pack". Doesn't make for friendly posting.....frown

another hint Bunty, unless you have a very thick skin, dont dare criticise ANY aspect of club sites, club life or club whatever.....there are many who will defend it and its 'constitution' to the death.....wink

you will be browbeathen into submission no matter how small your 'concern'....

take a tip....forget what happened, forget posting about it and concentrate on finding a place to 'van' where you're less likely to be upset by what goes on at the site and what gets posted in return for you 'raising this issue'.....

the sharks circle very quickly in these waters, these days....wink

    have a glass of red.....smile

That's the deepest irony BB, quoting one of my posts and using it to say don't criticise any aspect of CC!laughing You know we seldom use Club Sites, and aren't exactly fond of the Club's pedantic mind set!

I am puzzled about most aspects of the OP's post title, opening post, and subsequent further posts, but was prepared to be helpful! A read of their Hawes review did help though.....complaining about a dog barking. No, not a dog on the site but some obscure pooch in a house close by the site. Like that's really helpful to future visitors!

Not sure why you feel the need for the sneary emoticon MM. We just have a different interpretation of what makes a blind corner. That's just the way of forums, folk have different opinions.

Oh by the way in relation to your other statement,

I drive at such a speed on site that I know I'll be able to stop &/or accommodate them.

Even if a child hits a stationary car at 10 mph. The results can be very severe indeed.

It not a 'sneary' emoticon  ..... it's the undecided emoticon (just tried it on a laptop & it failed, but it used to be that if you hovered your mouse over an emoticon, it showed what it was ..... another epic fail on behalf of the CCs so called IT staff)

But if my car car is stationary,  I know that I've done everything I can

As you can't hover over them on a pad, I am afraid i was just going by what it looks like. To me this thoughtful chap  🤔 more conveys indecision. But that's the problem with interpretive symbols. They are open to interpretation.🙃

Even if I managed to stop, it would not make me feel a lot better if a young child seriously hurt himself impacting my vehicle. Much better he/she was adequately supervised in the first place. Plus of course, even if you were totally without fault, in a serious incident there would be a police investigation.

We were there earlier this year, but on the other side from the office. I'm sure any proper blind corners are sorted by the CC

May I congratulate you BW on your clever choice of thread title.laughing

Any mention of dogs or children on site will give a platform for the usual moaners.frown

To copy a well used phrase, all that is needed is for the club to enforce the already existing rules via the warden.

BTW, I prefer Alien Vs Predator as a title.wink

Presumably the one that results if a child on a bike runsinto a parked car or similar?

There was something like that on here a few months back, wonder what the outcome was?

Probably still trying to get redress through the courts.

However, I think you are being a little harsh.  Cannot remember all the details, but did a child on a bike not run into the car while not properly looking where he was going......something like that?

I would be pretty annoyed if that happened to me and the parents first took responsibility then changed their minds.  Insurance is high enough these days without having to make a claim for something that was (presumably) not your fault.
