Quote from the anonomouse quote:-
We expect that the new brand will generate a higher profile
That will be why they made it muted background colours. Why, it does not even stand out on the cover of the Sites Directory ! ! What hope is there for roadside signage then?
However, it should make signs on sites much less unobtrusive so even less people will take any notice of them in future.

Ilfacombe and Mildenhall are volunteer run sites (£12.50 in old book) these have no toilet block but do have ehu. There are sites that offer economy pitches which are grass with no electric. These are £14 per night (that may be same as the volunteer sites, I don't know as I still haven't got a new book.
There are also 'kids for a penny' sites and sites that give midweek discounts, plenty of offers but all rather confusing.

What a huge waste of money. Where do we stop? Just how much did this cost the members and whilst you were at it, why did you not remember that the club not only consists of owners of caravans and motorhomes but also trailer tents etc. Are you prepared to say how much this exercise has cost?

It is yes, I'm ensuring you don't go off on a tangent again. I'm happy with your particular version of evolution

PaulM, I am quoting from the club web site, "touring for less" which offer £14 per night EHU pitches. The non ehu pitches on some sites are priced differently.

Everything will be OK in the end.
If it isn't, we haven't got to the end.1 -
Sorry Rochelle but I must have blinked when asked for my feedback. Tell me exactly, when was this and how was it conducted? You know and I know this was an under the counter/backdoor fait accompli to please the over inflated egos of certain people in the hierarchy. Not your fault you have been left holding the baby and facing the brickbats.
A full explanation of how our views were gathered should be printed in the Magazine. As a Member of nearly 50 years, apart from the quality of our sites which take some beating I have seen the Club slowly slide into the same pattern of many other organisations ie. start to get involved in other ventures only, frankly, to loose their way.
As for the cost I think that, as an Accountant, I will dig out the Financial Statements and analyse them more closely. It seems they might make interesting reading especially comparison against the next set!!!!

I must have blinked also as I never received anything to comment on this debacle. When you need to explain a Logo it has ceased to be an effective Logo I'm just a 30yearer and the new sticker which I'm expected to stick in my Caravan doesn't even acknowledge this.
We should be ,as a club, ensuring efficiency and conserving money not wasting money, I presume the full costing will appear in the club accounts explaining which advertising consultant along with fees were used, cost of new signage, new uniforms. Judging by the logo the wardens will all be dressed like bears in brown outfits.

CG, Good Post
I think you maybe have come up with a brilliant idea - wardens dressed as teddy bears will definitely attract younger children and smiles from many!

and the management dressed as muppets?

I'm beginning to wonder if Jeremy Corbyn is in charge of the Caravan Club.
Let's have a change at the top, you know, fall on your sword. Must be embarrassing being in charge of this mess.
Affordable eh. Tell me, do any of you people making these decisions, actually caravan for your holidays?
You know everyone, I've had it up to here.
Imagination required.

The petition is going well. 16 have signed it. That's four more than liked the OP!

This thread is moving at an alarming pace.
I posted three questions to Rochelle around page 135 'ish and I'm sure I've had no reply.
It's just too tedious to wind back so many pages one at a time on such a slow website, so I can't bump it.
Any chance of a reply, Rochelle?

Is this petition like the Parliament ones, once the support hits 100,000 it is automatically discussed at a 'senior exec' level

We will never know Rocky.... At this rate, not for the next 40 years or so anyway!

We'll have just opened the magazine and as others have found it's mainly full of adverts. A very small section regarding the rebranding, as with questions raised on the Internet and this forum, the explanations are just full of marketing waffle. Still no more information on the tangible benefits of the changes. It will be interesting to see the net loss or gain in membership figures over the next 12 months

At least you all seem to have received a mag to have the choice to read it or not🙄

The new logo - Brown and Biege - Autumnal colours.
Are they the colours likely to attract a new vibrant, younger, diverse membership ?
.. and just to underline the biegeness they added 'since 1907'
Still, there's always hope .. see how the coop/ co-operative after all their unremarkable re-brandings have gone back to the original... err... coop !
