As you can see from the above posts we're off on our travels again. How about you propping up to White Water next week after you've finished the decorating!

    HelenandTrevpr thank you.

Moulesy you'll certainly need your holiday. I echo other folks good wishes, so elegantly put.

KjNelln more kind words, sounds very similar to our scenario, you're right about details 😱😱. I'm finding the waiting tough, but the thought of the op scary. However routine it is these days 😉.

I opened my cards and presents yesterday as I normally would without OH beside me in bed, and I've lived to tell the tale. I took photos of the gifts to save carrying them on the bus and we looked at the cards later in the day.

Its lovely to hear of other folks' days.

Wherenext hope the car is sorted soon.

The Ct Scan I had is when they found I needed to go for more treatment,as apart from shortness of breath at times (age?), there were no symptoms that are normaly associated  with heart problems, the ECG I had some weeks ago was when it was decided that a scan was required to give more information, the results seem to have got a quick response, with the call I had from the professor in charge of cardiology ,so all within less than a month, and next Tueday is the next stage ,with an angiogramsurprised

So home on Sunday instead of next Wednesday, frown

Thinking of you JVB. Your wife too.

Currently awaiting porter to take him for neck artery scan. That's thanks to our lovely Pedro, we've just had a nice hug!

Very windy outside but didn't get wet walking to catch the bus but it's damp.

That's me home. His little outing in a wheelchair exhausted him. Hes done a jolly good job of covering things up! Tests completed and referral sent to Basildon so just a question of waiting.

I feel like were on the long long haul to NZ but even that's 2 days not 2 weeks (today), although it sometimes seems longer. Hopefully just as much sunshine to greet us when this 'flight' finally lands and we disembark 😂😂

One thing that is very positive as advised to me, that most procedures carried out in cadiology are these days just routine,  as so many advances have been made, with treatment of all heart defects, cool

Best of luck JVB. I hope all goes well. It must be a bit of an anxious time for you and your OH.

Things seem be on track with your OH's tests bakers2. I hope he doesnt have to wait too long for a slot at Basildon. Take care of yourself. Carers need to look after themselves.  Could you fit in a reflexology session for yourself?

Best wishes to JVB and B2 and your respective spouses. Don't be down hearted if there are any cancellation delays, this sometimes happens at the last moment, you're nearly there, you've all done well coping with so much.

Good to hear of the meet up between fellow CTers, do hope the WNs car has been sorted.

I found myself at the end of a long piece of sewing this week, I didn't realise I was volunteering to finish something I had helped pin together. A group of us have been working on a quilt to be sold for charity this year, we're down to the finishing and joining bit. We had a get together and I've just had to do a lot of hand sewing. Job done, aching wrists, the project is looking good and nearly finished, I now appreciate all the effort! smile

You and Nellie will be in competition!!!! I just don't know how either of you manage all that time away from home? Our calendar just fills up on a constant basis. What we are not good at is planning out the year from a holiday perspective. I think I will have to start red lining some dates on the calendar!!!

Had the morning off work today, and just my luck it was very wet and windy yell so used the time to do a few household chores.

Work quiet at the moment so boss has taken himself off to Tenerife, I will be holding the fort wink

    Hope all goes well JVB66

Bakers2 hope your OH's  wait isn't too long now, I often think it's the waiting that's harder.

Wherenext hope you get the car repaired and be back on the road soon.

Car back with me this afternoon. Home dealers picked up bill and had to pay local Harrogate garage, who have been really good to us, even valeting the car. Happy bunnies again.🐇🐇

Had a morning walk in the rather wet wet and windy morning with The Hookers, but half way around it stopped raining. Still windy. Fortunately nobody on site bothered with an awning.smile

Be good everyone and enjoy your weekend.

I'm a great reader but I've just shelved the booklets. Cardiologist nurse told us what they'll do - that's enough for me. She was lovely. Another cardiac nurse asked if we'd had leaflets or got questions,  she not impressed we not read them or got questions  quite bossy! She never did return with a leaflet we hadn't been given, sounded like the most useful about the transfer to Basildon. OH was fascinated by the angiogram imagines, said it looked like ink blobs exploding, not sure that is how it should be I suspect not.

    Good luck.

Yes folks the waiting is very testing but hopefully by this time next week well be on the next stage. With grateful thanks to our wonderful NHS.

Wherenext glad you've got your car and no bill.

Brue sounds like a lovely project and worth the wrist ache. How's the ankle?

We arrived on site here at  Strathclyde at about 5 this afternoon very windy day we were thinking of cancelling but the wind died down slightly and the site is only an hours tow from home so we went the tow up here was ok but the roads around Glasgow were busy. Site here is very busy we are planning on going to the caravan show tomorrow at the SECC I suspect a few others on site here will be doing the same. Still very windy we are hoping it dies down a bit soon. Wont be venturing out tonight just a few drinks and a dvd in the van. B2 best wishes yo you and your OH.

Enjoy your visit Francis, it's been extremely windy here but things have settled down.

B2 I am still hobbling around, gradually improving but I think it will take longer than I thought to get up to running speed. wink

Sorry to hear you are still hobbling about brue. I hear sprains take a good while to heal. Take care. Hopefully you will be back to walking strength by the time the weather improves. Your quilt project sounds wonderful

    Brue

we seem to add to it every day!!! Last year we purchased a new king sized bed from JL.The Mattress has been wonderful but the divan base was not up to muster so we went into CMK today to select and order a new base. Delivery and collection next Wednesday, another date on the calendar!!!

As an aside CMK was amazingly busy today for some reason. It's not half term as far as I can see and there didn't seem to be any events! Was a bit surprised to be walking past Pret to see it completely empty. Learnt later that about 20 premises had to close because of a suspect gas leak!!!

I wonder if Millie was at the Cathedral today when they were saying goodbye to Mr Peterborough or Mr Pizza Express?

When Margaret was told she needed her bypass the surgeon who was going to do the operation pulled out his mobile phone and wanted to show her a video of how the operation was done. She politely refused the offer!! Sometimes ignorance is bliss!!!

Sorry to hear that your ankle is still giving you gyp, brue. Those sort of injuries certainly do take a while to get better.

After our windy damp walk with the WNs this morning OH, Flyte and I had another out at Stainburn Forest and  this time it was dry and the sun even managed to put in an appearance. Another pleasant evening in the van with more chat over a couple of beers.

Can't compete on club sites, but last year we were away for 265 nights, 3 Commercials, 4 CC sites and 46 CLs of which 17 were new to us.

    Cost £3295:40.

At present on our 5th CL of this year, with many more to follow hopefully.

Nelliethehooker and JVB how lovely to manage so much in the way of travelling and exploring of our wonderful country.

I must admit I was hoping we'd manage trips like these when we bought our motorhome a decade or so ago. We haven't lost the opportunity but like others caring commitments and life gets in the way. Somehow we managed more when I was working than we have since I gave up. More of a structure to days and weeks???
