I did .............. every time that I gave blood. smile

It was quite funny a few years back. I have to have 6 monthly blood tests. It was busy and, unusually, we went into the phlebotomists' room 2 at a time. There was me and a young strapping army lad. I was clenching up as usual and starting to hyperventilate and the phlebotanist calmed me down and told me to relax and breathe deeply. The blood test was almost painless but I can't help my reaction. The strapping army lad didn't fuss at all ..... he simply passed out laughing

    Best wishes David.

For whatever reason needles have never bothered me. Quite interested if I can a "local" and watch any procedure. Only one I wouldn't have avain was the one we had in the 1960s. Was it for TB? Can't remember but do recall it hurt.

Been having flu jabs jabs now for the past 23 years without any ill effects.

A beautiful autumn day today. Went for a walk from Titchwell Church (beautiful little church) to Brancaster Staithe. Saw plenty of Bearded Reedlings ( thinking of ABMs sensibilities ). We were going to travel tomorrow but will do so now on Sunday.

Last day here on the Med frown weather still perfect blue skies, light breeze and 25c. The site closes tomorrow for the season there is about 10 of us left tonight. Lots of Scandinavian vans left a few days ago after just staying the one night, guess they are off to Spain for the winter.

We are heading up North slowly, next stop a couple of nights near Montabaun, then up to the Dordogne for a few days, might actually get to see Rocamador this time.

We've really enjoyed our time over here, the weather has been fantastic, last time we had it this good in France at this time of year was 2014, so bring on 2022 wink

Hi Tammy. There's a decent site that should be open at Caussard near Montauban and a strange one at Moissac right next to the river. If you go to that one be prepared for a tight entrance through the hole in the walls that was once a water mill.surprised

In my mind the best view of Rocamadour is either from the top parking area at L'Hospitalet or from across the river. Good (as in viewing) walk down from the top. Enjoy your trip back north.

You sound as though you have had a wonderful trip Tammygirl and been so lucky with the weather.  Safe trip back.

After a run of really lovely weather it is raining here today.  The garden will be glad of it and so will our water barrels which were nearly empty again. It is our grandson's 11th birthday today.  He is getting some guinea pigs (plus all the cages, runs etc) so we will be going over to theirs to 'admire' them and give him his present.  The weather is going to perk up again tomorrow and is set fair for the rest of next week.

Tammygirl it sounds like a lovely trip, one we'd love! Hopefully we'll be able to do something similar before too long. Safe trip back.

Happy birthday to your grandson milliehull, hope he enjoys his guinea-pigs and accepts the responsibility it brings 😉. Did he choose them? We resisted a dog request from the age of 4 by our son - too early for responsibility. We had cats, rabbits guinea-pigs, hamsters, fish and the school mice one holiday 😲 instead. He got a dog at 24 with his partner, they stayed with us when she was little, gave my OH a boost, then they both decided on a career change so we had the dog for extended periods for a couple of years 😂😂😂. So age wasn't the issue. As you know we love her greatly and enjoy grand-dog sitting.

Well the promised rain arrived here about 1130, nice and steady now. Thursday I planted the new additions at last so timing is great as far as I'm concerned! Much chillier too only 11.5c. Sadly I don't have any ironing 😂 so heating may be needed. Hope the forecast is correct and that weather pucks up again as it's looking hopeful for a trip come Thursday 😁

ABM - Bearded Reedlings is the correct name for Bearded Tits. Clear now?undecided

Woke up to rain so went back to sleep. Most unusual. Must have needed it. Just some shopping and a restful day in the caravan. Took the awning down yesterday so nice and dry. Glad of the good forecast for next week.

We stayed at Strathclyde Park C&MC last night before making our way down to  york today. Nice easy tow down although took a bit longer than normal due to the A66 being closed. We came across the A69 to Newcastle then down the A1 which added about 45 mins to our journey but a nice drive and it was nice to catch a glimpse of the Angle of the North. here for a few nights then back up the A1 to Berwick for a few nights.

We had a lovely drive up today over the hills, weather beautiful, views fantastic. Decided on a site at Montricoux (Le Clos Lalande) No 2354 in Acsi. Nice couple who run it used to be in wine. They are putting a lot of effort into the site and are very helpful. Not sure if this is the one you had in mind. The town has something going on this weekend with acrobats and music etc. might take a look later after we've eaten.

The site you mentioned at Moissac we went to a few years ago, we liked it there, I agree its a tight fit going over the bridge/arch, closed last week unfortunately.

Music just started up but the skies have clouded over and the wind has started, Madam, has mentioned 'rain' haven't seen any of that in 6 weeks.

Agree with AD, very good weather this year, our jeans and warm tops were put away, might be needing them tomorrow. Hope you have a good crossing David.

Still working on the new house, but we have now managed to find a plasterer.  They did one room yesterday and will return on Monday to do the second room plus some bits and pieces, then it will be 2-3 days till everything is dry enough for painting to start.

2 new doors oak veneered ordered to replace the old white ones, 2 lots of flooring ordered, tile cement and grout obtained, so plenty to be going on with.

My sister arrives from Norway this coming Wednesday, so there will be less getting done for a while, plus car to be serviced and tax return done.

Sale of old house now with solicitors so a possible move in about 4-5 weeks.......going to be chaotic as new place will not be totally ready so furniture will have to find temporary homes in rooms that are habitable.

Went and visited Daughter, SIL and grandtwins on Friday.  They have made remarkable progress on the extension so far having done all the work themselves including stripping all the bricks off the main house wall to use to face the extension.  Both working and looking after twins so I'm really impressed.  Just no waiting for the structural engineer to decide the calcs for the beam which will go along the length of the original structure.  I ask if they needed help and the answer is no, we will let you know if and whenlaughing.

Lovely sunny day here so off for a saunter down the beach later.

Lovely sunny day here in Yorkshire but very cold put the heating on timer so the van was nice and warm when we got up. The site was full when we arrived yesterday but a lot of vans have left this morning. Not sure what our plans are for today just a relaxing day after the drive yesterday.

Oh no! What's all this wet stuff falling from the skysurprisedlaughing

What a shame for the town, the rain started just after the start of the festivities. We had just one clap of thunder and one flash of lightening but the rain was pretty steady up until about 1am then started again 9am, looks like its set in for the day. Such a shame as the area has so many beautiful villages and scenery, will have to come back again wink Off to Dordogne tomorrow.

Our little weather station showed a mere 2.5c last night! Very chilly! Nice now though. A day to fetch some tender plants inside and into greenhouse. Have to say, it's been a terrific Summer here though. Hope we get same next year. Where are you Francis?

Beautiful but chilly morning, cars had a covering of frost.surprised

Been busy with odd jobs and sorting the van after trip last weekend, had to nip up to the Farm shop to replace a gas cylinder that we'd emptied.

Hope I contributed a little bit to saving the planet from plastic this week. OH and fellow employees at work are allowed to purchase up to 3 loaves of bread a day at work,  reduced price, each loaf of bread which is wrapped anyway is then always put into another plastic bag. This seemed a rather excessive use of bags, 1 for every loaf surprised I had asked OH to suggest at work that the bags were stopped as really they weren't needed. He was told this week that the bread would no longer be put into the bags when purchased,  result!! Not sure it was because OH had made the suggestion at work,  but a great result anyway! smile

Safe travels to all out on the road and a belated Happy Birthday to your grandson Millie, hope he enjoys looking after the Guinea pigs.
