We have been looking at CL'S this afternoon, which one did you stay at? Also found a nice small commercial site called Talywerydd camping&caravan park.

When I had young children we loved the little beach at Cae Bach with its shallow sheltered waters, rock pools etc. We used to time it for when tides were greatest so on the lowest low tides I could gather the large prawns. Yes I do like that coast line.

Dug out my faithful black shoes and gave them a polish as we're off up the M6 tomorrow for a funeral early on Monday in South West Scotland. Forecast sounds atrocious for Monday morning. Ah well. Wrap up with thermals as it's a burial.

Best of luck finding somewhere Helen.

When we stay at Aberaeron we use a Camping On the Farm, Drenewydd Farm, Cl we use is Cefnllaethdre, between New Quay and Aberaeron, no toilet/showers, but has spacious hard standing.

Tarr Steps is a nice day out. We were there back in September and had a late lunch at the pub. It's also home to Labour's "money tree"

We have had a very productive day. We went this morning to our local caravan dealers to buy a couple of accessories for the Cvan thats us got everything now (i think) most of the stuff from the MH we have been able to keep and use but we have still had to buy some other things like towing mirrors, hitch locks etc. After that we went up to the new Volvo dealer in Linwood (very fancy) and ordered a new bike rack for the V70. i was very surprised with the price as it was very reasonable we got one that goes on the roof so we can take the bikes when we are away in the van.

Actually Taken at Mwnt probably 6 years back Cariadon.

OH and I set up a social over 50s website. Only 3 dozen members at present. When we set iy up at end of August we had about 24 members. We used the image as a header on the site and folk asked were it was taken. I said any guesses and out of the 22 members 3 knew that it was Mwnt which surprised me.

Goldie we had a very nice break on the Black Isle last year, have you been there? We stayed at Rosemarkie, right on the beach.

    1. Cefnllaethdre.

2 view from a pitch at Camping on the Farm. Behind the hedge is a footpath into Aberaeron.

Can't post a photo, won't let me resize it for some reason. Nice site, we enjoyed Newcastle Emlynn, also not far away.

Malcolm, I despair of you!  It must be over a year since I said to you that you should be keeping records!

Previously you were paying little or no tax so could not claim anything much back, but now you can.

With so little help with running  costs from your employer, you  need to make sure you are claiming all the tax relief you are entitled too.

You need to make more effort to help yourself.

    Busy day today.

Picked up new supplies of seeds for the garden birds, they have been very hungry lately.  Then to M&S where we purchased supplies of sandwiches to take to DD's for lunch as a special  treat.  We also bought the Dine In for dinner tonight.

Off loaded the new crib, the rug, the storage boxes etc, and showed them how to assemble the crib.  Storage boxes fitted exactly where intended.

After lunch I put up several pictures for them and took various bits and pieces to the loft, SIL does not like going up ladders, while OH helped DD with tax returns.

    Dine In was very good!!

Doing SFA, my arthritis is bad today with the damp and the cold.

Tried to do a small job and couldn't hold the screwdriver..

Managed to light an open fire though and enjoy reading the paper.

Got the screw top off and am now enjoying a glass of red.

    Cheers everyone!

Best of luck with booking your holiday Helen. It sounds as though you now have a plan. We had wonderful weather when we were in West Wales at the beginning of July last year. Lovely part of the country.

There's a new toilet block which is very clean. The other toilet block is closed at the moment whilst work is being done on it. So yes, I can see a lot of improvements going on. There's plenty of open area and space to walk dogs. The site is attractively landscaped. Plenty of trees too.

I think the tax is working out to about the same as previously, Kj. The main difference with this job is I work less hours and have more days off than before and tax is deducted at source.

Well if tax is deducted you can claim back for a portion of mileage by way of tax allowance.
