When she decided to have the operation it meant that her planned holiday to Italy had to be sacrificed with a lost deposit. She didn't sulk and felt guilty that we had to cancel a few reservations we'd made for our Spring trip but we were able to enjoy a great second half of the year caravanning mainly because she did stick to the excercises and so we were able to go without worrying. So fairs fair in my book. Mind you I did insist she was chief shoveller of snow from the drive yesterday!smile

Off to Holt tomorrow. MIL mentioned the lights but only after mentioning that Joules had opened up a shop there!

We had a lovely catch up with Helen and Trevor (and their lovely dog) this afternoon in their nice warm and cosy caravan at Ferry Meadows. So glad we braved the snowy roads to see them. 😊

Really strange but there is hardly any snow here in Penistone, its been falling most of the day but very little depth to it. Very cold  tonight again so probably will just take our time getting away in the morning as I imagine we will have ice on the road out of the CL. Thinking of stopping off at Durham for the night on the way up the road, that way we will get home in daylight rather than in the dark.

Take care all those who have lots of snow.

Glad you managed to meet up in spite of the weather. (Our friends from Peterborough are coming to stay next weekend; we talked to them today and they said it was rather grim over there!)

Now we'll have to aim for you, H&T and us to all be in the same place at the same time! smile

It's thawing a bit here at present 1.4c and it's dripping off the guttering 😲. Forecast is for Sharp frost. We had about 6 inches depth of snow.

Keep warm wherever you're spending your night. Remember when venturing out tomorrow the extra care needed.

Milliehull so glad you managed a catch up with Helenandtrevor.

Wherenext glad you and your MIL enjoying Norfolk.

Lucky you we wanted to see Blickling lights but couldn’t sort out other commitments.  I am still at Barleywood returning home tomorrow.  Managed a walk around the lanes but not much else.

Enjoy the rest of your stay

Glad you've all got through the weather today, nice to hear of a meet up. I gave up doing things this afternoon, we went out for a pub lunch, then fell asleep. Put a few chestnuts on to roast at tea time, very wintery!

Take care everyone who is travelling tomorrow and stay safe. We are waiting for a call if the schools are shut tomorrow. We don't intend to be out and about much.

If anyone visiting Blickling anytime next year then I can recommend the Buckinghamshire Arms next door. Excellent lunch today. The Sunday roasts went down a storm and !looked good but out of my dietary needs unfortunately. Booking on Sundays required.

Back down to -6 here tonight, but thankfully no snow.  Very white on roofs and grass, deck etc.  Thankfully roads have been gritted.

Tomorrow evening is my woodturners club meeting   so I will be out late, hopefully snow will stay away.

We had a dry morning with a slight thaw and we managed decent walk out to Addington, but it snowed again in the early afternoon, although it was only a dusting. Clear sky tonight so it looks as if we're in for a hard frost.

Glad that you and H&T managed to meet up, and that  you enjoyed your trip to Blickling, WN. Hope that you can make it to Holt tomorrow so that MIL can raid Joules!!  Everybody else stay safe and warm.

    Nooooo!

    Our TV has conked out!

Not actually the TV, but the remote, without which we apparently cannot use the TV!

We cannot turn it on, change the channel etc etc

Looking for the instructions now, in case there is a solution.

Maybe we could arrange a CT mini meet?

Not too late in the year would be good for us.  Would be interesting to meet up with other CTers.

I would be up for that too.  Of course, the real difficulty will always be dates, but let's try for it.

There's usually buttons on the side of the TV somewhere, Kjell.  There is on ours!

You can also get a universal remote from an electrical store which can be set to your TV.

yep....a few buttons, but not enough to cover all functions.

Have got it going again, and can change channel, which are the main things, but nothing else meantime.

Had some rain in Peterborough overnight, everywhere very slushy and wet, so no frost.

Not made any plans for today yet as we were waiting to see what the weather was like😕
