We followed a route on foot by the railway line and towards an underpass. Instructions, possibly in information room) not overly clear 😲. Stood wrong side of the road to begin with! Same instructions 😲. Luckily I texted and reply said no buses due. Someone came to bus stop opposite and assisted. Got the impression we weren't the first. Couldn't change the instructions as we weren' sure if we' followed them correctly 😂😂😂

Yes we managed that bit when we got on the bus going in the right direction 😂. We did know bus, whatever number, was circular but we didn't fancy the tour!

Quite an experience using the bus roads off of the parkways and going through housing estates you never see if you drive 😉

I know, but last bit of route slightly different, and we hadn't realised. Did get off at almost the same place.

Thanks for the confirmation. I had wondered if there were better buses on the main road near the Garden Centre but I suppose that is a longer walk.

We have had some quite heavy snow, well at least for Milton Keynes! Nice that it's happened on a Sunday so the kids can enjoy it and no rush to clear cars etc.

No snow here, just wind and rain. We just have to hope for the best that the awning can continue to withstand the buffetting! The forecast says it will die down by mid afternoon. So hopefully, weather conditions will be better by the time I start work this evening.

Just had my Lemsip with a drop of scotch in. wink

Going to put rubbish out and open front gate before the snow piles too deeply behind it. Been there and got the tee shirt!

We seem to have avoided the snow so far, but very heavy frost has left everything white. Sunny but very cold, -6 overnight, still -4 now.

Have been out for a walk round the lakes with the dog, he loves the snow. Quite a few children building snowmen and sledging ☺

Wardens here are advising anyone due to leave site today to stay put,  a couple of motorhomes must have ventured out. It's still snowing, must be about 4 inches deep now.😯 Not due to leave until Tuesday so may have improved by then 😕😕

Stay cosy and warm Helen, what contrasts with the weather. Gale force winds just dropping here but heavy rain falling. I hear there'll be snow in N Somerset which will please our youngest grandson. smile

David, the wardens did say you can catch a bus from the main road, but the bus company keep changing the times so they advise to use other stop.

Well it stopped snowing  just before Rosa and i went out for second walk of the day,.plenty of people out with sledges and no end of snow men built or in the process of being,  Rosa has decided it is great fun chasing the sledges down the hills on the side of the valley, she gets back to the top quickly ready to chase the next one nearest to her much to the delight of "most"childrenwink   ,

Latest news from one of our neighbors via some family they were expecting that the A1M was closed A414 was closed Town Centre here gridlocked mostly by no end of abandoned vehicles on the hills, gritters stuck in it allsurprised,

We had already cancelled our trip out to go ice skating with some of the grandchildren,it is half hour journey for us, those nearest are hoping to get it re arranged

Woke up to an inch or two of the white stuff. Must be at least 5 years since we last had snow here on the Tendring Peninsula, the Sunshine Coast of Essex but not today. Its just stopped now and looks like it won't last too long, the road outside is very slushy even though it is not on the gritting route. Think its time we started another jig saw puzzle.

Turning to more like sleet falling here now. Not so pretty now as folks have walked on the pavements and driven on the road 😢. We'e had about 4 inches, lots for us! Peegeenine that' a lot for your neck of the woods 😲😲.

For those of you who have 'real' amounts of snow forgive those of us who really get as much as a dusting 😉

Not surprised about accidents watched lunchtime time report from a bridge over M25, braking distance appeared nonexistent. I pity the emergency services as so many folks assume that someone will rescue them from their predicament.

JVB I'm glad Rosa is enjoying the snow, most kids would be delighted. We gave our kids sledge to the 2 young boys over the road. They informed OH they were the first people up in town this morning 😂😂 excited or what? They're 5 and 7 great ages 😉

Crewe  has  had  but  a  sprinkling  of  snow,  couple  of  snow  showers  this  afternoon,  but  we  seem  to  have  been  on  the  very  northern  edge  of  the  "Snow Belt"  this  time. The  north  of  Wales  has  copped  a  load  tho'  and  they  can  have  my  share  as  well  thank  you  very  much wink . I  must  make  the  point  that  I  am  NOT  complaining  --  snow  is  only  good  on  Christmas  Cards  and  in  Winter Sports  areas  !!

Now  I'll  get  those  Post  Codes  missing  from  my  list  then  its  back  to  the  Writing  of  the  Cards  duty !

Following  from  the  thread  about  recycling  I  have  to  say  none  of  my cards have  that  pretty  but  non-recyclable  glittery  stuff  on  'em !

Taken a cottage in Blakeney mainly as a reward to MIL for her tireless efforts in recovering from a replacement knee op. She enjoys North Norfolk and she wanted to see Blickling lit up in lights for Christmas so we went there today.

She was enthralled and we spent over 6 hours there, including a lovely lunch at Bucks Arms.

Trust you kept dry in what was a non snowy but continuous drizzly day.

    Are you still at Barleywood?
