II can't match the previous post but did hear a Chiffchaff as well as the enchanting calls of Curlews, and did see a couple of Hares frolicking in a meadow while out on my afternoon walk.

Out today down by the river LOT and saw about 6 Crag Martins and they are earlier than last year so should see House Martins and Swallows in the next few weeks and 1 Cormorant flying over with something in its beak and a very long way from the sea, whilst waiting for friends to turn up we had a cat go across the carpark with a small Lizard in its mouth.

Out in the garden this morning we noticed another visitor on the window. It's a Diarnea Fagelle moth. There are loads of variants so don't know the exact one. I'm not qualified to identify which one as it involves checking the genitalia!😱

The sun has brought out the Celandines in force, but I was surprised to see, on my afternoon walk, that there were some wild Bluebells in flower, as well as these Wood Anemones.

I don’t know about other areas of the country but there seemed to be a distinct lack of hares in North Norfolk. In 4 days we only saw one. Normally at this time of the year we would expect to see dozens

I've seen one myself this year. Usually I saw them daily on my walks. I do several different walls soits not just one area. Very sad.

I have seen a few over the last couple of weeks but in different areas so I am not familiar with the usual numbers where I saw them.

Nuthatches for us today in the woods above Nidd Gorge, along with lots of other small birds, Tits, Robins, Wrens, Goldfinches etc. I did see a flash of a Kingfisher when we were by the river at Saltaire, and a pair of Gooseanders too.

We spent an enjoyable 10 minutes watching the antics of 3 Grey Wagtails chasing each other back and forth above the R.Ure today.

On a different theme I saw this beast coming in to land yesterday!!

Breakfast time. Daughter opened her curtains yesterday morning to see this carnivore finishing breakfast. Look like it was Hungry as it had two birds, probably a pigeon and a blackbird

The Cuckoo has are here in France today around 4.30pm.

Loads of butterflies about after the very cold and damp spell was worried that they would suffer and good to see them.
