Don't like sleeping bags, hate to be confined. Duvet, not tucked in just loose over the top of me, always hated sheets and blankets would hate to go back to them. OH always tucks his duvet in at the bottom and one side and just draps it over him, he used
to use sleeping bags when in the Army but hated them. I remember trying them when we started camping in a tent, horrible things, I got all knotted up couldn't turn over, then ended up on the zip, no not for me I'm afraid. Much prefer nice fresh 6 tog duvet
and in this weather a nice brushed cotton cover and bottom sheet, lovley and cosy0 -
I beg to differ and find sleeping bags work very well whether in a £200 van or a £100k one.
There are no rights and wrongs and it's what suits the individual. You do it your way and I'll do it mine.😎

Do not mind sleeping bags, but for long trips (6 weeks +) they are just not practical for us when it comes fo washing while away.
Cannot abide sleeping bag liners in use!!
So we would always use duvet and washable underlay in that situation.

I am happy with a very lightweight sleeping bag. Never zip it up on the side and so not restrictive as I am not overweight. No more restrictive than a duvet for me. I wear light pollycotton pyjamas and thin cotton socks which keeps the bed clean. As I have a skin condition I have to moisturise legs and ankles anyway. (At home I wear just briefs and moisturise in the mornings).
I find it comfy. Only use the lightest weight as in winter the heating will be set to 17C

Mattress topper and duvet like you would have a home. Kids now using sleeping bags in their fixed bunks because they kept wriggling and the covers fell off in the night,
After years of camping before buying our caravan, I like the duvet option. Alcohol intake also assists with sleep...
