It's been 4 years since we've brought the caravan to Belle France and, boy, have they been busy installing these things here, there and everywhere. So be warned you people. There seems to be 2 types. The most dangerous are the concrete all across the road
hump, usually given white arrow warnings on the road and 30 kph speed limit (even the French seem to slow down for them). Go too fast and you'll definetly regret it, and the second is the square reinforced plastic type bolted to the floor that are not too
intrusive if you hit them right. A lot of small places we went through in Provence had both of them.They may even put some people off driving on N roads instead of Autoroutes.!
