Gassing? Is it really happening...
I have put my firesuit on as I appreciate I will be opening a can of worms!
Does gassing really happen or is it a convenient explanation for insurers w.h.y.?
My arguments against are as follows:
1) It takes a number of years to train as an Anesthetist to put a person to sleep correctly -are we assuming that anybody can get away with breaking into a caravan or spraying "gas" througfh the vents bearing in mind we are all built differently?
2) Out of all the incidents that have occurred and criminals that have been caught -has anyone seen any examples of "gassing equipment" that has been seized by the authorities?
3) Caravans by design have drop out holes/ventilation to cope with leakage of LPG -therefore unless you are literally spraying struff in peoples faces would it not take an awful lot of gas to knock out the occupants?
4) I know last time I travelled abroad, I was knackered after driving (albeit for 4 hours solid) and woke up with a thick head because of a) the heat b) being keyed up c) Fatigue. Even if you are experienced in driving abroad I still maintain that is tiring
driving on the wrong side of the road with family and a large box in tow!
5) With all these "supposed" incidents happening isn't about time that one of the clubs or magazines conducted a test in controlled conditions to prove once and for all wether it can happen i.e. a stationary caravan with volunteers and/or measuring equipment
and medical supervision.
Perhaps people simply do not want to admit that they were caught of their guard/overtired etc etc and it has becoming convenient to label as "gassing" for insurance purposes?
Purely questions and my fire suit is now on for replies...
myth or reality?
