Explanation of a few motoring terms.
There are often threads concerning the understanding of technical terms relating to towcars. I came across this explanation of 4 common motoring terms:
1 - UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
2 - OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
3 - HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall.
4 - TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.
I hope this was helpful

From my time in the motor trade, these were terms used by traders:
Bidet - rear wash/wipe
Optrex - headlamp washers
Catflap - sunroof
colour in its checks - it was taxed
'Experienced' tyres usually meant they were bald!

Reminds me of an American motorsport commentator explaining US terms to the European viewers:
"Push is when you can see the accident coming and Loose is when you cain't"
