Caen ferry terminal

Hi everyone,

I would greatly appreciate the advice of anyone who has overnighted at Caen ferry terminal in a caravan on the way back to the uk. It seems that it is ok to stay in the lanes after the last boat has sailed (11 pm) but I'm wondering what happens if you park
in the wrong lane? Maybe one that doesn't even open. Any one out there done this? We're on the 8:15 sailing so it would be handy to sleep there.
