Toll free route in Portugal advice please

Good morning everyone!

I have received the following question from a fellow member:

We plan to travel from the Algarve, via Lisbon and Porto to Santander. The route looks mountainous on my map, can you suggest a good route for a large caravan/car outfit?

Any advice or suggestions would be most welcome!
