Ferry return.

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy an open ended ferry return with any of the company's from UK to France, or even if the CC would do an open ended return. I just find it a pain to have to leave to return to the UK at a certain time & date, much better if a relaxed drive home from Switzerland/Italy is not so rigid.
