I am interested to know if anyone has used the Fernpass to get to Innsbruck. Fernpass is on the 179 which is the continuation of the German autobahn A7 into Austria. CC travel advise that the Fernpass is ok for vans but the Holzleitner going east is not.
The map shows the 189 going west from the 179 at Nassereith to the A12 at Imst, where you can turn east to Innsbruck.   Looks ok on paper but has anyone done it?  We are going in late August.
