No ACSI Maps in 2016 ?
Hi all. I did try searching so hopefully not discussed previously.
In 2015 I purchased ACSI card & recd camp site books and maps (mini atlas showing site location).
I've just ordered and recd 2016 ACSI card + camp site books but no maps !?
I've checked last years maps and all the camp site numbers have changed. Why haven't ACSI issued maps again ? without maps you can't
search where you want to physically go - and then find/cross reference suitable camp sites - or am I missing something ?

Thanks Aquila.
I have emailed ACSI.
I called Caravan Club this AM as they were supplier - and they told me there aren't any map booklets this year
I 100% agree with you - the value of the ACSI card severly diminishes if there aren't any map booklets.

yes, we got a map (back in December?) but, like Ian, i have the ACSI app on my ipad which can be operated offline.
i also have the POI point of interest file of locations on my Tomtoms which make navigation very easy.

Agree the book would be hard to use without the map. The map I would say is part of the package. We get ours from phone call to Vicarious Books (just to ensure they have them in stock) Can also order on line. Was the same price as CC at the time we ordered
- Feb this year.0 -
There is definitely a map supplement with the ACSI book but we tend not to use it, and just use the website for searching for sites in the area(s) we want to visit. I would offer you ours, but it's down at our 'place in the sun' and we're in our caravan
at the moment!0 -
many thanks for all your replies...
I did write to ASCI only to be told I could purchase European Maps from their web store !! my query must have been lost in translation.
KjellNN - yes I would really appreciate you map (Spain included) we go away in October) - I'll email you my address - many thanks again.

Photographic proof there is a
mini atlas with the 2016 site directories.David

I wonder why the OP was told there was no supplement. That's poor service from the Caravan Club as obviously most people rely on the map.
If you have 'Archie's Campin'g on your SatNav or laptop you can find all the ACSI Card sites under 'Menu' - view by satellite - and bottom of the page 'Camping Card'. Open it using Google earth. ACSI Card sites have a yellow pin, and you can see them more
clearly by switching off photos and various other things in Google Earth.0 -
I find the ACSI DVD much more useful in relation to finding sites than the map but you do have to have a device that it will work on. In my view the App is nowhere near as good. My concern is that they will discontinue the DVD in the next year or two in
favour of the App which would be a shame.David

Love the Ap. Wouldn't be without it.
I have said before, the way that ACSI change the site numbers every year is very frustrating but I guess they would run out of numbers due to turnover. You can look up the town but unlike the Club directories, they don't just use the nearest large town but
the nearest village, however small. That's why you need the Ap. or the map.0
