Al-Ko ATC on the Ferry

Does anyone have any thoughts on leaving the 13 pin plug attached to the car when the caravan is on the ferry.

I am unsure whether the ATC system will pull a lot of power from the car battery.  The green light will stay on but I don't think this will have much power draw. This is the first trip abroad in the new van as the old one was not as fancy.

We are travelling from Newcastle to Amsterdam which is a 17 hour journey. I will also have to disable the car alarm as this has tilt sensors and I will not set the caravan alarm for the same reason.
