Travelling to Greece next Spring - help please

Has anyone got any views or information about the best way to get to Athens/Patras area with a caravan using ferries from Italy.  Venice and Brindisi look the most direct but are they suitable for car/caravan outfits.  There also appears to be a ferry to
Albania from Italy so is this an option?  Any advice would be appreciated.
