Tatra Mountains

Yippee Mrs One is letting me of the leash so in September I am considering going to Slovakia to do some walking in the Tatra mountains.  Will take the van and meet my brother who has a MH and has been in europe for a few months.  Does anyone have any experience/advice of the area including walking and wildlife.
