i have to confess to drifting up from a 28" waist to a 30" (in my 40's when i stopped playing football) and now wear a 32" for a bit of comfort....Wink

i was 58.5kg on the nose every Monday when a group of us used to get weighed as part of a (their) diet thing.....

these days, following ten years of retirement (bumming round in a MH) a more portly 63kg or thereabouts....trying to do something to stop the slide into obesity....Wink

still plenty of miles on the bike and on legs, but offset by plenty of 'vin rouge'Undecided

To all those bragging about super slim waistlines from their yoof may I offer an alternative?

     Quote by Hunter S Thompson

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”

    That's how to do it.

Years ago, in a Psychiatric Hospital where I worked, one of the consultants said jokingly that he used to assess how sane anyone was by the length of their trousers.  If you could see an inch of sock they were a bit 'off the wall', and if more than that, 'definitely in need of treatment'.  The only thing which seemed to disprove this was that one of his fellow consultants always wore very short trousers - with at least two inches of sock on display!!Undecided

Many years ago in my early banking days, one of my customers was the senior phsyciatrist at our local mental hospital. Always seemed nutty as a fruitcake to me. As I was behind one of the old style wide mahogany counters, I couldn't see his socks.

..And your point is? thats where most people have it wrong, as our doctors say it is  "rocket science" as it is still a problem that is being studied arround the world, no matter what intake some people have ,they still have trouble controlling weight, even in countries that have a healthy low callorie dietsFrown
