Reversed polarity

We are heading for France in May and having been reading about sites which have reversed polarity on the mains hookups. I've bought a tester and already have a foreign two pin connector but was thinking about getting another and reversing the wiring so I've
got one of each. Both marked accordingly.

Any comments on this or suggestions appreciated.
